I'm completely clueless at this point. I was having random game crashes, and wanted to fix it. So I took out downloads, still happened. I finally just uninstalled the whole entire game and figured it'd fix my problem. So thats what I did yesterday. but now I'm having a different problem. I load the game (All expansion packs and a few stuff packs) and everything works perfectly. I select a neighborhood, and it works fine. But when I go to click on the button to view the families (Not totally sure what its called. But it's where you can move families into homes, make a family ect) An error comes up that says "The sims 2 has crashed. Application will now terminate." Theres no downloads in the game at all when this is happening, so I'm 100% positive its not custom content, I haven't downloaded anything since reinstalling. I love sims and really just want to play. Can anyone help me at all? :( Its been working perfectly fine for so long untill just a few months ago. I have lots of space, it's not my graphics card cuz I've been playing sims since 2009. Ugh, I need this fixed and I just don't know what else to do :(
Oh, and if I need to have my computer information and specs.. can someone pleasee tell me how to find it?

Here's how to specify your system specs:

Are you running with a brand new save game, or did you restore a backup of your original neighborhoods?

okay, thaahank you! =)
I'm running with a completely brand new game. I even cleared the registry before I reinstalled. So theres noo traces of my old saved games, at least that I'm aware of..I'm not very good with computers honestly lol
Okay I hope this is right..

Well, being the dedicated sim fan that I am..plus, just not being able to stand not playing, I decided to completely uninstall for the 4th time in 4 days.. And then reinstall. And everytime I reinstalled something, I applied the patch for the game.. and then I tested it out and recreated my problem.. And the family bin loaded (So did create a family) :D so I guess I did something right.. and now I'm just hoping that I don't run into anymore game crashes and can finally just play!
