That the tombs don't reset, when another sim in your family has done the tomb, and your sim gets the same adventure, you can just go straight to the end, because another sim that you have played, has already opened all the doors and moved all the statues. I don't understand why the tombs can't just reset. It makes it too easy

Yup. Annoying, and there are plenty of threads here complaining about it :)

Well, what's even more annoying is that the quest history is tied to the family and will follow your Sims even into a different world. So, let's say your Sim's grandchild grew up in your house and when they've become adult you decide to start a new town with that grand child and move them from SV to Bridgeport. That Sim will never get any tomb raiding adventures because their grandfather had completed them in Sunset Valley. And even though the tombs are fresh and untouched all important keystones are already in place.

I currently play a Sim from a family that started in Barnacle Bay where both parents had reached visa level 3 in all countries. I then moved them into a custom world and then into Lunar Lakes, where their son was born. This son then moved to Appaloosa Plains and then to Setra. In Setra's Egypt he entered the Pyramid of the Burning Sands for the very first time in his life and guess what? The keystone was in place and no tomb sigil was to be found. I even wiped his opportunities history with DebugEnabler and made his boyfriend get the quest. But it only worked after I had testingcheats-deleted the extra keystone that was already in the lock. Only then could they insert the keystone they got through the quest, open the tomb and get the tomb sigil :wtf:
