Can't Open the CRES file for house

I use SimPE ver 0.73.44.37511 (QA) and it crashes everytime I try to open the Resource Node/CRES for a house. I have some Houses that won't open and the CRES file reads [Invalid CRES: Unknown embedded RCOL Block Name at Offset=0x0000191a]. Is there a way to get the CRES to open, so I can attempt a fix?

Since SimPE is not being actively developed at this time, I don't have a lot of ideas.

You could try contacting Peter or Inge Jones to see whether they would be willing to look into the issue.

You could get the source code and try debugging the problem yourself.

I'm really glad you answered, you are the Guru concerning lots. I was thinking if you don't have the answer, nobody will.

There is very little support for SimPE (I tried it).

I was trying to save some house's that messed up. It seems to be the CRES became corrupted.

I am able to reproduce this problem, so there may be a possibility that I can look into debugging the issue. Unfortunately, my life is pretty topsy-turvey at the moment, so I hate to commit myself.

My suspicion is that there is a version of the record which is not handled by SimPE; these problems can often be fixed relatively simply once one is familiar with the source code.
