If you guys have a risky woohoo mod installed (I have Twallan's woohooer mod) what's the chance your sim will get pregnant without "trying for a baby"? I have a 5% chance.
Annoyingly my poor sim was woohooing with her boyfriend and got pregnant -____- She only has one bedroom :')

Mine is set at 25% and she still hasn't gotten preggers. Not that I'm wanting to have kids yet in my current game. Just figured that I would make it very risky, ya know.

If risky woohoo is at 90%, why even keep a try for baby option around, even if it's at 100%?

I wanted to keep it more realistic. If you used a condom correctly they're something like 95% - 99% effective (I don't know the exact figures)

Yeah but you're making them 90% ineffective.
Imagine if that was the effectiveness of real condoms.

I just like pregnant Sims. Also, I like to read the messages that come up saying that a certain Sim has had a baby and then read the weird name EA gives them. I like full neighborhoods. I enjoy sending my Sims to parks etc and seeing toddlers and babies around. I have a family called Filler {I'm not playing them} and they now have two sons called Patch Filler and Fuller Filler. Another Family is called Brandt and they have just had a daughter called Willa.
I can't make Patch have a capital, sorry.

I've got 10%, and in around 80% cases my sim get pregnant after risky woohoo. Today my teen sim got pregnant after her first woohoo... Geee, how lovely, and her mother is expecting a child too. Good thing I bought bigger house lately.

Mine is set at 5% because no Woo-Hoo is without risk. Also, my Sims never try for baby or regular woo hoo without my permission because, again, no woo-hoo is without risk unless, you know, medical reasons.

What do you guys do if you get a townie pregnant with the Risky Woohoo? Do you marry your sim with the townie or are you fine with having an illegitimate child?
I never really use the Risky woohoo option because I already have plans laid out for my sim. I already pick out a suitable wife -to-be for my male sim and didn't want to complicate things with illegitimate children. Does the disgrace for having a child out of wedlock gossip only exclusive for celebrity sims or is that like a universal thing?
Maybe I should just let him go be a man-whore and impregnate every female sim in my town lulz  Maybe setting RW to like 30% or something...

Is that a Bunch child? It looks like some I have ;) I ask becasue Darleen seems to have some kind of fertility time bomb if she ends up alone in the house. She had three kids and no husband once when I looked up. I had been feeding my home Life Fruit and didnt notice that the game was set to normal life spans. I had a lot of older men and they all tried to have a kid with Darleen. Here are Arlo's kids (The house I was playing).

Depends. If the couple wants to be married/be together, then I let that happen. If not, meh.
Ruby Broke (Brooke in my town) had 10 children, some legitimate, some illegitimate. She only lives with two of them. It cracks me up.
Also, the Bunches make pretty babies in my Sims. Nose jobs.

I didn't know it was possible to cancel TFB :wtf:
And I noticed that the risky Woohoo won't show up on any of the woohoo places in my house. Not on the bed, shower, time machine etc. Only the woohoo interaction is available. It's fine if I visit other homes or if I went on vacation, the Risky Wohoo is available then. Anyone knows why this is?

Doesn't the settings also affect the whole world? That is why I have risky on, mostly. I don't mind the non-actives having oops, baby problems, just not my single sim, especially when I am trying to get some things accomplished when they are YA. I have mine set at 9% because my sim got pregnant with the first sim she woohooed with at 10%. I didn't want the settings too low for the town not to populate. I played out that pregnancy and continued on until she had a new boyfriend now fiancée. Dog gone it, she got pregnant with the 9%. I am playing a fertile Myrtle. Sigh.

I am playing a fertile Myrtle. Sigh.
So on a slight tangent: I know, intellectually, that the percentage is just like any other, it's rolling the dice to see if a Sim gets pregnant or not. However, I swear the game picks people it wishes to be fertile and those it thinks shouldn't be able to get pregnant/cause pregnancy. A perfect example is my Ruby Brooke (Broke), who managed a pregnancy with every "try for baby", while the wife of one of Ruby's exes couldn't get pregnant to save her life and so ended up adopting a lot of children, including one of Ruby's, instead.
Just interesting. Fun to roll with the punches.

I find this a little odd. Why not woohoo with the future mate, if you've already picked her out? And if he's going to sample all the townswomen, I do hope you are being fair and giving his bride-to-be (or are they married at that point?) the opportunity to do the same. Maybe she could bring a little extra something to the marriage.... :bunny:

They woohoo all that time. But if by woohoo you mean as in Risky then not yet. My sim still is a YA (I have aging set to Long) and I'll only let them try for offsprings when their married. I wanted her to further her career before saddling her with a child. I used Twallan's SP to disable Allow Pregnancy on her because I didn't want her to procreate with a townie and give birth to a pudding face sim :king:
My adventurer sim has a daughter there as well, lol. Of course, I actually did try for a baby just to see how having kids in other lands worked.
I only found out he had those children when I went to see his family tree. Imagine my surprise when I saw 3 additional sprogs in there. I used the Risky Woohoo, although in like 20-25 rapid succession. I guess three of those managed to hit the bulls-eye
I didn't know they got pregnant coz I didn't hear the sound sims gets when they successfully tried for baby. Will that sound even trigger in Risky Woohoo?
I went for a long time hesitant to have children out of wedlock because I thought my sim would have to pay child support. And my sim is not that rich to afford those.

Sometimes the sound goes off and sometimes it doesn't, but I think that's a game glitch, not something with Risky Woohoo (I may be wrong).
I LOVE having to pay child support. I have it set up for all of my active families. There's a LOT of money flying around my 'hood. My Sims are such dogs.

EA Standard will only chime if the active sim is one of the woohooers at the time of sounding.
If you have since moved on to another sim, you won't hear it. :)

My risky woohoo is set to whatever the default is, which I think is 5%. I also have the woohooer set up so that my Sims can autonomously TFB or have risky woohoo (I loved the ACR mod for Sims 2). I like having to just deal with it if my Sims get knocked up - adds more challenge to the game. With my current family I have a mom and dad who are both a couple of days away from becoming adults and they have two sons - one is a child and was conceived from a risky woohoo and the second is a baby who was conceived from TFB. Dad keeps rolling the want to have another kid and I decided why not? I can just send them to boarding school once they are children and/or teenagers and when they become YA I'll just feed them to the time stream.
Plus I have the wonderful Hospital Overhaul mod that allows you to abort unwanted pregnancies, although I've only used that feature once with a different family http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=459905 .

I guess that explains why my Sims get pregnant so frequently from risky woohoo :) I have so many illegitimate children and shotgun marriages in my game.
Edited to add: I have been using the Hospital Overhaul mod since way after Showtime was released and it works fine - I abuse the ultrasound feature. I haven't updated to the latest patch yet so I can't say if it will work with 1.36.

What does the Hospital Overhaul mod do exactly? Can you elaborate on this?
Sure - it allows you to have abortions at any time during your Sim's pregnancy (abortions can be performed at the hospital or at the hideaway), your Sim can go for an ultrasound that will tell you the sex of the baby and how many babies the Sim is pregnant with, it also adds the option for blood donations and sperm donations. This means your Sim can go to the hospital and be impregnated by donor sperm and your vampire Sims can go to the hospital to get blood. It's a great mod :) Your Sim gets a negative moodlet from having an abortion and there is also a chance that the abortion will fail and your Sim will give birth to a ghost baby. Like I said before, I've only used the abortion feature once but I use the ultrasound feature for pretty much all of my pregnant Sims. I like knowing the sex of the baby ahead of time so I can go ahead and decorate the nursery :)

Oh my heavens! I didn't know sims had to pay child support! This has never happened to me! How do I make it so? I have a thing for making twisted sim-stories (ie: woman kills sister to be with her husband; their kid sets are both siblings and cousins  ) I would love to make one skeevy douche knock up 10 woman sims, marry an 11th, and not have money to support his "real" family because he's paying out the rear for his bastard children!
Tell me how to make my sims have to pay child support! Please!

That's in twallan's Story Progression (http://nraas.wikispaces.com/StoryProgression) (Extra). Although if you don't have the mod already, it's probably not worth installing just for the child support - it has like thousands of options. It's very configurable, but on the flip side you might have to spend a lot of time configuring it at first to get it exactly the way you like it.

That's a bit too realistic for me. :( No woman, human or sim, should feel remorse for exercising her right to her own body.

Well, I like it as it then becomes something that really happened versus a mod or cheat where the baby just vanishes as if nothing ever happened. Got nothing to do with whether or not a woman has the right to abort, just that they feel something about their decision.
