Your opinion on EP support at the EA store

I really like the new gambling content at the store, and I'm looking forward to Lucky Palms. So much so, that I started to buy the Viva Las Vegas set to supplement my casino building. But wait, that's not a professional bar, it's a juice bar!

How are my sims going to drown their sorrows with a juice bar, for that matter how are they going to buy a round of drinks for everyone when they win?

I looked in the store, and apparently EA does recognize the desire for variety -- they sell 12 juice bars for the base game afterall. But I guess you only want variety if you play the base game only. LN = 9 bar types/2 professional bars... distinct lack of variety.

I know many of you don't approve of the store and never use it. But for those of you that do, does it bother you that EPs will never be supported?

I think they try to keep special sets like that playable for people who don't have certain EP's. I too was a bit disapointed that the Las Vegas set didn't have a professional bar, but I just used the ones from Late Night and gave it an appropriate pattern. And since I didn't use the actual casino, since it is 60 x 60 (!) I just made my own, and that seemed to work for me.

The Only EP with store support is Pets, which sucks. I'd love to see a nightclub set released in the store. Even new salon equipment or stage props. Something different to supplement the additions we already have.

And Cambodia was a missed opportunity for a World Adventures add on.

The new casino set has a pretty low key bar, I didn't mind replacing that one with a Late Night bar (the professional one is even nicer, I think). I made my own casino too, for the very same reason. But the Viva Las Vegas set is a very theme oriented juice bar, it has the card suits in lights around the bottom and fits in with the hokey dice, poker chips and card suits on everything theme.

The India and Africa sets too!

It's a shame really, cuz adding variety to EP content seems like a gold mine. Steam punk nectar maker, nectar racks, inventors tables, chemistry sets... You play Lunar Lakes and end up with these anachronistic objects that your sim needs in order to pursue his career, but they clash with everything (except Big Lemons and Sloppy Jalopys) :rolleyes:

I would love to be able to buy a supplemental Night Life Viva Las Vegas set: professional bar (the big sister of the juice bar in the set), matching counters, bar tables, a spade shaped bass, club shaped drums, piano with diamonds and hearts, an FX machine that spews four leaf clovers, coins, simoleans and card suits, a wall fountain with water running down over coins...
