View Full Version : Lifetime wish glitch in game

Hey,

I downloaded a few mods today, but none of them had anything to do with Lifetime wishes.

What happens is that I make a family, then when I find a home to them, a "Choose a Lifetime wish for your simmer!" appears, and only a few selective wishes can be chosen. But when I click on the "..." sign at the empty wish stand, not all wishes can be chosen.

Example:

Gregory has a lifetime wish of becoming an astronaut, but when he moves into a house, he can choose to become a fireman, dogcare guy, adopt as many strays as possible, and so on. But no military choice, not even at the "..." place can I choose for him to be a military guy.

What I tried to do was type in the cheat "testingcheatsenabled true" and change his lifetime wish there, except, once I was done and came back to the game, the "Choose a Lifetime wish for your simmer!" appears again.

Anyone have this problem? I've gone through my mods and none of them have anything to do with Lifetime, I deleted a few selective ones that I thought might be the case but to no avail.

Most issues with the game can be resolved by following those steps.

Sounds like it could be a mod conflict- test with a fresh set of user files and let us know your findings.

Hi again,

I deleted seven different mods I downloaded yesterday. These are the ones:

Adoption = Adoption is no longer free
NoEmptyPlus4xSkillGain = Potty training is faster and don't have to empty it.
Jasumi_NOAutonomousComputerGames (Showtime) = Simmers stops playing computer games until I tell them to.
FarrahJude_SimPregnancyLengths_Long = As it says, longer pregnancies. Mine was seven days.
Earlybird_1h = The alarm clock wakes the simmers 3h earlier.
Ambular_CoffeeFlavoredCoffee = Coffee drinks, finally, instead of those "Strawberry with chocolate sprinkles" things.
Woohoobaby = Simmers can ask the other simmer to sleep together or gain a baby without me telling them to.

I will install one at a time and see which one causes the effect.

Seems like "woohoobaby" causes conflicts ingame, making me unable to talk to other simmers, only for choices like "Give gift" and so on.

I'll continue figurering out what causes the Lifetime wish glitch.

And I figured it out, "Woohoobaby" and "Earlybird_1h" are what caused me the problems. :)

Sorry for bothering.

Congratulations!!!

You might want to check to see if those are updated. If not you can try to alert the creators to the problem.
