Gender Bender?

Today as I was doing some housecleaning of my game (2.0.113 with PN) I discovered something most unusual about some of my saved sims: although the thumbnails still showed them as they should be, they had changed gender. I do not even know how this is possible, and I would like to know if somehow I have caused this so I do not do it again.

I've had this gender switch happen once to a saved sim (only the one though). If you change them to the right gender in CAS it should still be the exact same sim you made.
I found a sim once that I didn't make, that is most definitely my blacksmith and my monarch's faces morphed together. It wasn't attractive. That was way back around April last year and I haven't seen anything like that since.
The gender switched sim was more recent, maybe 2 or 3 months ago.
Switch them back and re-save them.
Sometimes the opposite gender version of a sim you like is really nice too. I always check any new sims I make. Some are not though and look good only as the gender you made them as.
You can always back up each sim you make, that way you can just drop the 'preserved' file back in.

Oh to be sure, I had already fixed them back before I posted this.. what I was wanting was the cause, in case it was something I had done. I believe you have answered my question and it was not. It sure would be nice if someday the bugs were all gone from this game, but that will never happen I know. From what I have seen in the past when the bugs are nearly gone from a game it is either patched into new buginess or abandoned... from the look of things this one will probably take the latter path.
