Before I explain my problem, I have to make this clear for you that this problem ONLY occurs in CAS/buy-/build-/neighbourhood mode!

Okay, so now to it - This is an "issue" I've had since the launch of either NL or OFB. Perhaps even since the UL ep. I don't know wether to call it and issue or not, but it's very annoying and I need to know if there's a fix for it.

The music playing in both buy mode, build mode and in the neighbourhood overlook is uncategorized. What I mean by that is that the music belonging to build mode randomly starts playing in buy mode, or even in the overlook of the town/CAS. The same thing goes for the neighbourhood music or the buy mode music. This does not concerne the radio stations at all, those are fine. I don't know if it's me being very picky and controlling over how I want things in my game, but it's been driving me nuts for the last years (pretty much since it started occuring).
Example: I put the original music in from The Sims 1 because I love it. So for instance "New Beginnings" which is a song belonging to build mode starts playing in buy mode or when I'm trying to pick a house to play/set out new lots or creating a family.

Since then I have reinstalled my game for numerous reasons, removed all my cc/hacks for wanting to play without them for a while - so I'm very sure it's nothing that I've put in there to cause the problem. All my copies or legit and bought for, so it's nothing "fishy" about the files.

I would love some help or even just someone saying if it's possible or not to fix it. Google wont help me and I feel that I'm starting to lose my sanity when I try to build an effin' house or decorate it.

Are you fully patched? I seem to remember something about the build/buy music that was fixed in a patch.

I've checked and I believe I am actually, so I don't think it's a lack of patch(es).

I am fully patched, and I've started seeing this since University. Guess Maxis did that to keep the boredom away - a neighborhood playing University and Base Game Theme over and over again seems more boring than playing every single song they have. If you load your game and leave it in neighborhood mode, it'll go as follows; Neighborhood, Buy, Build, CAS. If you're in the Buy Mode for too long, it'll go Buy, Build, CAS, Neighborhood. But the radio stations are only accessible through a radio/stereo/MP3 player.

I find that kinda boring, especially with later expansions. Each time you reload a lot, it plays a different music (even if you save, and then exit to the neighborhood - first there's a music on a loading screen, and then in the neighborhood itself). If there is any, I'd definitely download a mod that reverts to a soundtrack which belongs to specified scene (ie after I reload 10 times, I can still listen to neighborhood music, instead of CAS one).
