I've never heard these sims discussed before, and I'm curious who else has seen them in their game. My game spawned a number of downtownies (they all use custom content, so I know they didn't come with the game) with either a 0/3/3/3/0 or 0/3/3/3/10 adjusted personality, whose entire purpose seems to be to cause trouble. They're like grown-up cows, except without the random flirting: they run around pranking sims and picking fights.

These sims seem to have a limited "range." I rarely see the ones that haven't become playable. It's been nearly two years since I've seen one of them (I miss you, Albert!) and about a year since I've seen another (Come back, Denene!). It's like they were planned to be some sort of downtownie "type" -- like the Slob or the Diva -- that never became guidebook official.

Sounds a bit like my game.

Do you have all the ep's or only some of them? I have the "Store Edition", don't have AL but have a whole bunch of NPCS who are coded as witches (0040 according to SIMPE). The game spawned a few hundred (!) after I installed Free Time of all things. Anyhow these sims have those kind of stats, and many display that kind of obnoxious behavior, but don't /can't do magic of course as I don't have AL.

After I downloaded a nowitchhack they stopped spawning and are now very rare: only sometimes showing up, randomly, on Hobby lots. I had some problems back when some of them were members of households, but now those sims are all naturally deceased, and so the "problem" is now fixed.

Yah there's an old lady (Katy Fieg, I think?) and an adult male who both keep running around poking my Sims until things escalate into a brawl. I find it funny.

I have Store Edition, too. They first started appearing with my initial installation -- the Double Deluxe collection -- but I've got all EPs installed except for Freetime, Seasons, and Bon Voyage at the moment. It's interesting that they're coded as witches; it would explain why there's the 10-points-nice "good" ones and 0-points-nice "bad" ones. (More of the 0-points-nice ones have been made playable in my game; only one of the 10-points-nice ones have become playable so far  ) They can't do magic, even with Apartment Life.

What sort of problems did you experience?

EDIT: A few hundred?! Dear god. The ventrilofarting alone would suffocate the whole town :wtf:

Heh.

In my game, the major problem when they became household members was that whenever I sent other householders to go downtown or to a hobby lot, on their return the sims in question would always respawn back on the curb. Anything they were doing beforehand was aborted, and any item they were using would be be "frozen"/count as occupied and so be forever unuseable. This included beds, chairs, instruments, stairs(!) and so on.This was majorly annoying and almost gamebreaking until I learned about MoveObjects. Then I simply just swapped things out. OK, that was still annoying but at least it was dealable.

I came up with other playarounds. For one, I would usually try to take these sims along to the external lot, but that wasn't always practical or desirable. So then I would park them on the lawn to do some stargazing and hope they got hit by an asteroid (which never happened, oh well). At any rate, I knew if they were doing that, they wouldn't be using anything else and so I would not have to swap things out later.

But if they were at work when sims at home went out, on the return to the lot, the glitched sims would still respawn at the curb, and then they would get the phonecall about missing work that day etc. Very annoying. Playing around the the work glitch required some scheduling choreography... I decided that no one would *ever* leave the lot until the sims in question came back home. For some of my more extroverted sims, that bit of logistics really crimped their style.

Anyhow, the problem now seems to have gone away. SimPE gave me a diagnostic tool so I can identify which sims to avoid and the nowitch hack has mostly suppressed them from showing up.

Any similarities with your game? I know the personality point spread is very similar.

Wow :wtf: That would make me never want to bring one of those sims into playability ever again!

I haven't had any problems like that with them, yet, though I have had "snap to curb" issues with other sims. Uncanny managed to glitch into teenhood, which snapped her child-aged sister Verity to the curb when she and her sister Ruby got off the bus. I ended up having to age Verity to a teen early so her grade would stop dropping and the "stop missing school" pop-ups would stop. One of Howitzer and Grimuara's twins has the same glitch, though I'm hoping that'll clear up. Uncanny doesn't have any curb-snap issues now, so I'm hoping the affected Subject girl will be the same way once she ages up.

The first glitch happened before I added any of those odd-personalitied sims into playablity (and neither household has one of those sims in it). I'll have to run some experiments this weekend and see what happens.
