I'm buying a new computer soon and I don't know if I should buy a graphic card with it or not.

The computer that I'm thinking of purchasing is a Dell Inspiron 620 with Intel HD Graphics,
I also have the option of ordering it from the Dell website with a AMD Radeon HD 6450 graphic card.

So here's the question: Will the Intel card be okay for Sims 2 or should I order it with the Radeon one?

Or just find another graphic card?

Thank you! :D

Integrated graphics are not a good idea if you want to play games on a computer!
You can read more about integrated graphics here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Onboard_Graphics

I'm not sure how well the 6450 will work with the sims 2, but definitely don't get the intel one.

It also makes a big difference which EPs you want to install.

sims 2 plays on anything with a dedicated graphics card, the graphic options arent that different, apart from sims 2 seems to hate intergrated graphics card because it shows the grass and water weird and the town never goes dark at night, only the roads do

sims 2 plays on anything with a dedicated graphics cardErm, no. Not on a GT 620M or Geforce 605 (or their older cousins). Those are dedicated, mostly by OEMs and not much better than an IGP for the extra cost.

Even those in the (low-to)mid-range GT 630-640 may have issues (depending on CPU+RAM). Granted, not when it is brand-spanking-new, but later after some wear and tear.
Problem is, inadequate GPUs need stronger CPUs and more RAM. But most of these systems with such hardware are sold with hardware that is on par with each other - low-level GPU with low-level CPU and less RAM - so the machine ends up as "unsupported" for Sims.
