I skimmed through the list of issues. Didn't even see a category for this unless I passed it up. But recently, my sim will stand in front of the task for an hour (sometimes more) before actually doing it! Its ANNOYING! Once it was to mount a horse, she stood in front of the horse doing NOTHING then til like 11pm (did this at 5pm) she finally gets on. WTH. Another family, a mom, who burned down the stove I clicked on her to extinguish the fire. She stood there, looking around like "lalalala" while her daughter is freaking out. This happened for like 30 mins. Then for her to wash a bowl another hour. I cant take it! Its so..ARGH! Does anyone have this problem??

Be patient! It may take a while to get a response. Remember, people on MTS live all around the world -- at any given time some people are either asleep or working and can't be on the forums. Or are playing the sims!
Even though it seems like it doesn't apply, please go through the game problem faq: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Sims_3_Game_Problem
This should be gone through whenever the game isn't functioning as normal. It lets you figure out where the problem is coming from, CC for example .
Also, instead of multi-posting, there's a handy little edit button in the bottom right of your post if you need to add something.

Yes, it's a new feature that we added in 2005. ;)
Also try the suggestions in Game Help:Intermittent Freezing (which also covers general lagging), and post your Game Help:System Specs.
