Can't delete collection files!

Is there a way to delete collection folders that I am not aware of?

So I created this collection file called "Story Stuff" in the game, this was before I discovered the wonders of Collection Maker ;).

However whenever I've tried to delete these custom folders...or even the default Maxis collection folders...the game deletes it, but when I restart my game it appears again!

I've tried going into TheSims 2/Collections but my custom collection folders don't show up in there! All I get at the very top are collection files with a bunch of numbers like "0x1b28bb99"...maybe these are my custom collection files but how can i know which ones to keep and which ones to delete?

The ones with odd names are probably your collections. You can open them in Collection Creator to see what they are and then delete them.

I've opened them up in SimPE before now - you can rename them. I have a habit of renaming them as soon as I create them.
