so I have been wining about if some one Can update the skin of 234 jiao skin right there http://www.modthesims.info/d/411747 I try zillion Time to update I faild and last one was here http://www.mediafire.com/?zd69q77k6zmic8d it work but it show as new skin anyway I ask 234 jiao in the blog of baidu to upload it and her respond was like that

But I don't know how to repair the files,it's a long time from I played the game last time.

Did you try the instructions I gave you in the Skininator thread or give them to Jiao?


Create a temporary folder for extracted files
Run Skininator and click Extractinator in the menu
Select the skin package you want to convert
Then select the folder you created for the files in step 1
DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING or your sims already using the skin may wind up with a flat black skin
Click the button to make a non-default skin and save a new package with an appropriate name
Replace the old skin package in your mods/packages folder with your new skin package

yea I did do that but it seem that the one in the of jiao 234 tone is corrupted it wont extract something wrong I try to replace it by mine but that make it new one !!! can you help in that ??

Maybe I'm missing something here but why does it matter if it makes another skin or not? Why can't you just go back and edit the sim in CAS to add the new skin?

I'm afraid the 9.2 package is seriously messed up - it links to all the textures and resources that are in the 9 package and not the ones in the 9.2 package. Jiao must have gotten confused while making it. This is why deleting the 9 package makes sims appear all black (their skin textures are gone) and why Skininator can't find the right textures to export and convert.

What you should do is get rid of the 9.2 package, get the 9 package, and convert it to the new format using the instructions above. The skintone file in it uses the same instance number as the 9.2 (another way it's messed up) so your sims who used either 9 or 9.2 before should correctly use the converted skin.
