View Full Version : Has anyone found a way to get sims to go home when done at a RH?

Hi.

This has annoyed me all along, but really got me frustrated tonight.

Sims do their jobs, or attend school, or attend a class, and most Sims then leave most rabbit holes most of the time.

The problem is with the sims that won't leave the RHs. One can hit the Go Home button, X out the rabbit hole interaction, whatever...they won't go home.

The only way I know out of it is to use resetsim (that may be an Awesomemod code or an EA code, but either way it works). But then one loses buffs, seems not to get paid if the sim was at work, etc..

Does anyone know a better way to do it, please? I beg you? Maybe a mod exists that makes the RH interactions possible to absolutely cancel? :help:

Never happened to me. You sure it's not a mod actually causing this anomaly?

I can definitely say that I always had problems with this, back to when there were very few mods in existence.

It just particularly frustrated me today because it screwed up plans I had for specific Sims.

I have never seen this happen. Which town is this? Is it all rabbitholes, or just certain specific types?

It's in the city that came with Ambitions (although I had this problem with the school in the original EA city, too), and it only happens in rabbitholes. It happens worst in the business/journalism employment RH, and also happens in the Film employment RH (a lot I obviously had to add), and in the school RH. Those are the three RHs in which I've noticed it.

It happens when there's a certain amount of time after which someone is supposed to be done for the day, and the problem is that they linger for hours after they're supposed to be "done." This is with Awesomemod and many of Twallan's mods installed.

I've never seen it either. They will sometimes hang around where they work... stand on the sidewalk and read a book or whatever... but they leave the building, and go home when told :O

There are some opportunities which, if you accept them, will keep them at work longer, but I assume that's not what you're talking about.

I would suggest temporarily disabling all your mods/CC and starting a new game to see if you still have the problem. If so you could try this method: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Finding_Problem_Custom_Content

"Resetsim" is an EA cheat, btw.

I had this problem (only) once, with a doctor at Niua Simoa hospital; I also had to reset him. The problem appeared suddenly, persisted for a few (three?) (Sim) days and disappeared after I "rebuilt" the hospital - resetting it did not work. Maybe it was/is connected with Ambitions - I think that was the most recent EP at the time.

I have experienced this problem occasionally. At the end of their shift the only way to get them out of the RH is to reset them but then they don't get any of the benefits of going to work.

It happened in the Ambitions criminal career rabbithole, but I think it also happened in other RH's/towns and seems fairly random.

I had a similar problem the other way around - my sims wouldn't go into the rabbithole to go to work. In the end I discovered that there was an invisible car blocking the doorway - I used Awesomemod's ctrl + shift nuke to delete, and then they could all get in as they were supposed to. Maybe try that outside the exit door, if the exit and entrance is different (as I think it often is for the business rabbithole)?
