So my girlfriend wants this mod for the Sims 3. I've spent hours upon hours searching online for help, and the forums at "Awesomemod" are full of six year old trolls. I'm tired, and I'd like some resolution...

The game works great for her, has all the expansions, whatever.
I downloaded the mod, along with the framework, installed it all perfectly. When I start the game, the loading bar doesn't progress. Also, the game states something about compatibility upon start up prior to clicking continue. I have the no-intro pack installed also, and that works and the game loads when I remove the Awesome Mod .package from the folder. I think I may need to update the game, but the launcher won't run for updates, and I've downloaded the specific 1.34 patch, and that doesn't work as well. What the fuck is wrong. Can I download a version of the mod that's compatible with this version of the game? Can anyone help without trolling? After spending well over five hours, my nerves are breaking and I need a smoke. I appreciate the help.

Sometimes, MATY members chewing up and spitting out the trolls (or those who don't search, don't read, etc) seem justified. :)

Have you RTFM? Awesomemod needs the latest patch, always (unless Pes have not caught up to a new patch release). Which means 1.36 and not 1.34, you're a patch behind. Game Help:Patch_Table
When the game gives an error message, pay attention to it as that gives a clue to what is wrong..."game states something about compatibility" means you're on the wrong patch version. If Launcher won't update, download the correct patch - the 1.36 patch. Link is here Game Help:TS3 Patching:Patch_Download/Current.

If the no-into mod works, than the CC Framework is installed correctly, so that's good news.

ps: also, we have a "creators support their own work" policy on here. So for specific Awesomemod help, you need to brave the MATYzens and post over there.

Alright, sorry for my lack of intellect on the subject. I really don't spend time with the game, unfortunately. Despite this, I recall receiving a error message when installing a update. "Sims 3 Error 0x80040702" with some other phrase about a missing .dll file. I'm not sure if you've heard of it, but I've Google'd the message and haven't found anything helpful to what I need. Anyways, I'll do as you stated and get back to you on it. Thanks for the quick response.

Edit: Tried it. I'm getting the Sims 3 Error 0x80040702. Not sure what to do.

Since you've confirmed using pirated games, you need to prove to us you have now bought and installed legit games for us to continue support. So, if after buying the games and still encountering the same issues (which I doubt would occur with legit discs), then we can talk further.

And I don't term it as "lack of intellect", rather a "lack of diligence". :)
