Weird sims issue need help severely stumped.

Okay so I go into CAS and create my sim as usual nothing unusual happens and I get the picture taken for the family. Alright everything seems gravy.

Anyway as I get into the household there is some strange sim standing there looking nothing like the sim I just created. For some weird reason only two of my outfits are saving and not even the ones I made. I need help it is causing me too much frustration.

If anyone knows a solution I would gladly take it :)

Is that with CC clothing or default CAS stuff? Any custom sliders, custom skins and the like?
On a Save or a new game? If a Saved game, this happens on ALL your Saves, based on ALL worlds?

Have you tried the troubleshooting FAQ? And test on new games? With CC and without CC? And then lastly with fresh user folders? Then let us know the outcome of doing each step.

Also, what version is the base game?

I am using cc, and I am updated all the way, currently I have all expansion packs, The only thing that is different is that I merged all my files, but it happened before that too. So I don't know exactly what is causing it. I have removed cc after cc and it still happens. So I finally decided to ask for help.

And so far it has only happened on female sims not any of my male sims.

And then lastly with fresh user folders? Then let us know the outcome of doing each step.^^ ...this. Which is step#3 of the FAQ I linked to. Have you done it? Is it still happening on a new game, with fresh user folders?

Still needs this infoAlso, what version is the base game?"Updated all the way"? If EA is to release a patch sometime in the next few hours, this statement is no longer valid tomorrow. :) I need the patch number to be stated explicitly, please. Also help future readers of this thread to see if the issue applies to their situation if they happen to be on the same (old) patch then. Because what would "Updated all the way" mean when you're reading this thread in Dec of 2013, right?

Okay I am up to patch number 1.36. It only affects females and I may have found a fix while playing around with it finally lol.

I decided to play with this new sim and I went to plan outfit i found my outfits had been changed to the secondary and third outfits so I redid them, then using the cheats through console I was able to fix it in CAS that way and after saving and exiting it seems to have fixed it self. It just seems the initial CAS isn't saving. I hope this helps other users? I guess getting frustrated and trying to ignore the problem works lol.

*EDIT* I will try the user folders the next time I am free which probably won't be till the weekend due to work, but I will try to play around with it still.

Which means what? Issue resolved? Or are we poking our heads in the sand? :)

The symptom may mean there are issues brewing, and things may blow up later. But if you're good to go, I can't force you to troubleshoot to find the root cause and eliminate the issue from ever recurring again.

At least there are workarounds to get the game to play fine... (for a time?) ;)

I think the issue may be resolved. Like I said it only happens on my female sims and I create them few and far between. I go with guys more and no issue there still. If it happens again I will be sure to return here.

I will do the user folder exchange next weekend. I have to work and won't be able to play as much, but thanks for the timely responses. :)
