Ok I'm spent all morning and half most of yesterday trying to figure this out and I wouldn't ask unless I absolutely don't have a clue.

I get sims yesterday and instead of you know.. playing like a nomal person I decided I want to try to edit clothes.

Well I have no idea what I'm doing. I edited the bmps in photoshop and it actually works on bodyshop. The problem is the thing I edited it from has the reflections like vinyl and seams and I can't get rid of them. I've read every manner of tutorial I've destroyed it a few times (I made backups.. go me)

But I can't figure out what all these numbers mean. And I'm going to explode.

Here is the original, Edit, and problems. (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/23250906/) It's not finished but I wasn't going to bother if I couldn't figure out how to fix the problems.

I have SimPE, Meshtools and a bunch of other things downloaded so you can point me at whatever.

Should I just give up?

The Maxis clothes that you've cloned and are working on have special type of reflection added to them. That's why you get these problem areas. If you want to work with reflection and learn more about it, I suggest that you read this thread:
http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=42074&highlight=clothes+reflection

If not, I suggest you choose another piece of clothing to recolour that doesn't have reflecting areas.

*Sigh* I knew it would be something like that I just picked that outfit because it looked like that character.

I understand. Unfortunately you'll have to read and learn about it if you want to make it look good.
