Larry and Joanne Miller are celebrating their one year anniversary. They met at their alma mater, he a football player, she a cheerleader. So they love their school colors (red and gold) and have it displayed as prominently as possible in their new home.
The eat-in kitchen is kinda retro, but the couple thinks it cool. It's in their school colors, that's what really matters. The couple is trying to start a family. When word about that got to their parents, they were immediately showered with baby gifts, such as the infant swing/chair thing.
The couple will never miss their team's game. When they must watch a game on tv at home instead of in person at the stadium, Larry rubs his old helmet and sits in his special chair for luck.
Larry is a junior executive at a company in the city, while Joanne is a counselor. Since the move, she decided to setup a home office for counseling. It'll also help when she doesn't want to go far from home after they have a baby.
Before Joanne was a cheerleader, she danced ballet since she was a little girl. She likes to practice in her spare time. The family computer is also in this little nook/hallway area upstairs.
Larry and Joanne's bedroom. While at a flea market, they laughed at the tackiness of the "lips" sofa. Joanne sat down on it just to give it a try, then Larry proposed to her while she was sitting on it. They had to buy it for sentimental reasons.
With all the donations of baby stuff from their parents, Larry and Joanne couldn't be more ready to have a little one. Of course the baby will grow up loving red & gold, and go to their alma mater.
The upstairs bathroom rounds out the tour of the upstairs.
Even the backyard is baby ready with a rocking horse and wading pool. Those "steps" are just a decoration part of the Torrox set (they're not functional as steps). I just kinda wanted to see where I could fit them in at some point.
And lastly, the overhead pictures. With their budget they couldn't afford a car yet. But once Larry gets enough money he'll put one in the driveway.
