The Dragonhill Castle


Once upon a time... there was a little village on a hill and in the middle of the village there was a castle. A noble knight and his wife lived in the castle and both were very popular amongst the people.

It was a cold winter day when the village all of a sudden got attacked by a two-headed fire-breathing dragon. The beast destroyed the castle and most of the houses and also despoiled the villager's crop of a whole year. But the people did not abandon themselves to despair. The knight gathered some of the bravest men and set forth to find the dragon and kill the beast.

The group wandered endless miles and finally.... tracked down the dragon's cave. They found the dragon asleep and so they quickly took their swords and cut off the two heads of the beast. They decided to take the heads back home so that everyone could see the creature that had brought so much misfortune to their village.

When the brave men arrived at home they were cordially received with cheers and kisses. To show their gratitude, the people rebuild the castle for the noble knight and his wife. They made it bigger and stonger than it ever had been before and named it „The Dragonhill Castle“. The noble knight became king and each of the brave men was given a knighthood.

From that day on, the king and queen hosted a „Festival of Peace and Joy“ once a year and every villager from children to the elderly was invited to join the fun with dance and laughter. The villager have never again been attacked by a dragon and they lived happily ever after.
