'She's been avoiding me. I asked her why and she told me that her sister had banned her from being my friend.'

'What? Why would she do that?'

'...Because of you.'

'...Me?!'

'Someone told them about Tristan, including the fact that you did it. So now they think I'm dangerous and fucked up. Over something you did.'

'Oh God... who told them?'

'I don't know. One of the Farringtons, obviously, but she wouldn't say. Doesn't want to drop them in it, I don't think. Seems they've been getting friendly.'

'For the love of God...'

'So thanks a lot.'

'Hazel, I'm really sorry... I didn't think this would happen.'

'That's not good enough! I shouldn't have to lose a friend because you did something fucked up!'

'I know! You're right! I truly am sorry, honestly... you shouldn't have to miss out because of my actions.'

'But now I am. I knew you shouldn't have done it. It was wrong. For many reasons.'

'...Let me put this right. I'll fix it, okay?'

'By doing what?'

'I'll bring the sister over here, get her to see sense. She has no right to control her almost adult sister's friendships, especially when you've done nothing wrong.'

'You will?'

'Yes, I promise.'

'You'll put things right?'

'Yes! I will sort this out for you. You have nothing to worry about.'

'...Fine.'

The next day...

'There. Might be the last painting I bring to you for a few weeks, I've actually got a few more commissions to do.'

'Okay. I'll let you know when it sells. What're your commissions anyway?'

'Currently? Coupla original characters. Nothing mind numbingly awful, thank fucking Christ. I don't think Wed's yet over walking in on me drawing some clopping shit. Ugh.'

'Man, I don't envy you.'

'Yeah. Can't wait for when I can turn these weirdoes down.'

'Anyway, catch you later, gonna get a start on the current load.'
