I remember seeing that show once. I don't remember much about it, but I think I liked it. I've kind of been wondering about it.

I used to love that show.
In fact, on the plane ride home yesterday I watched one of the movies (apparently there's at least two) and I've watched half of the other. Shun Oguri makes the best Shinichi.

But yeah, I really want to see the anime again. It's one of the first ones that someone in my family would watch with me.

I used to love watching that show! Had to watch the English-dub, though, and I never actually got around to reading the comics. Unfortunately, my cable was canceled and now that I don't watch much TV at all anymore, I haven't seen it in over a few years. I even tried searching Google for full online episodes, but no luck.

I used to love it when I was 12. Now I think it's a little inappropriate for children, but I had a lot of fun watching it with my friends.
This whole thing with the anesthesia needle is really funny.

We showed a raw clip form one episode shortly after I joined my university's anime club, way back in early '98, that was my introduction. A couple years later I became Showings' Chair, and based on the membership survey I did I started showing 1-2 of the movies every year. And I have all of them now, though one is only subbed in Chinese... I also have a moderate start on acquiring the series, and a fear of the dub after hearing some comments. Needless to say, I only refer to it as Detective Conan, Meitantei Conan, or Detako. Never with the American title.

As a note, there are 12 movies and 7 OVAs.

"Segregate the sinful sexes..." "Wait, how many sexes are there?" "Two." "It's not enough I say, go out and order some more."

Yeah, didn't say anything on episodes because it's so high and still running, I imagine there'll probably be more movies coming out as well.

Funny note: the other officers in the club forced me to change which Detako movie I had scheduled one term. The chosen movie (I was just working through in order) was "Skyscraper on a Timer", it hit the schedule the autumn following 9/11.

I am in LOVE with this show. I am trying to buy more episodes since we don't get the funamation channel anymore. I love trying to find out who the murderer is. The ones I do have I play on repeat which annoys my boyfriend until he buys another one.

oh yeah, I love this show! I'm even trying to get Jimmy/Shinichi's blue suit with red bowtie for sims2. that's one cool suit.

I haven't had a chance to get through the first season of it, since I have to find them online. But 500 episodes, is, crazy! And still continuing!

Oh geez I love Detective Conan! I mean it's not even normal. Sadly it never really stood a chance on tv...I mean it was on at what, 4 AM? Or 5 AM, I can't remember. Mean mean Adult Swim.

I actually own the first season on DVD. I'm also positive it's a bootleg but you know...I don't really care. At the time there were no DVD's. I remember at the site I got it at they had up to 10 DVD sets, but now they're near impossible to find. At least I think so, I haven't looked in a while. Thank goodness for the internet or I'd never get my Conan fix.

This is a very good show. My friend, and I always tuned in to watch it on CN, and we never missed an episode! When I thought about it, this show really reminded me of Law + Order. Every episode was a real journey, however cliched, and I really enjoyed joining in, and conjuring up my own thoughts behind who the culprit will end up to be.

That said, this is a very good show.

I use to love this show! I use to watch the English dub on Toonami, before Toonami got cruddy and took all the good stuff off. They stopped airing it and I did not get to see all the episodes. I mean to find them in Japanese to watch.

You mean Adult Swm? I think it would've been better on Toonami, than that crappy 1 am slot but I guess it's too 'inappropriate' for the kiddies XP

I looove this series. I watched it religiously on Adult Swim when it was on, and then went out and bought some of the episodes and the 2 movies when they took it off. I've tried reading the manga, but it seems I'm always picking up a volume where I've already seen the mystery already - Guess I should start with Ai comes around.

The dub wasn't bad either, but I heard Funi wasn't going to pick up anymore episodes for awhile

I read the manga, but it's quite difficult because the amount that Barnes and Noble has at any given time is so erratic. x.x

No, I clearly remember it being on Toonami, after Dragon Ball Z. After it was no longer showing on Toonami, it would occasionally come on at 5 am on Cartoon Network. I use to get up an hour early before school, just so I could watch it.

Oh seriously? I remember after it was moved from the 1 am slot on AS it was on at 5 am here too, right before Gigantor. Never Toonami though - Maybe it depends on where you live :?:
