Thank you penny! I know most people replace their Servos but I actually like them.

The newlyweds, Isak and Maria Skoog, decided it was time to take a vacation. They went to Twikki Island.

Since Maria is on the grouchy side she wanted to try and plunder the ship. The Captain was not so happy about her intentions.






And, even though it almost costed both her and Isak´s life, Maria finally managed to get the voodoo-doll.

"For now. Give her time to absorb it. Lance wants to show her how he can do a cartwheel. Hey, you know what Ernest thought was really fun about those hammocks?"
"I bet I can guess." Sadie'd been thinking about that, too; and, to her own surprise, has been regretting making Clovis get his tubes tied. Lance and Andice are getting so grownup, and since Goz died, she's been wanting to hold her own little baby again. Which is silly. She's too old to start over with a new one. (Hormones! She rolled her first-ever have-baby fears right before they left on vacation, and her first-ever have-baby wants after they arrived. But the tube-tying's in the story, and they're only about 10 days from elder, so they just woohooed in the hammock and left it at that. Though I'd love another shot at reproducing his nose. I worked hard on that nose.)



Clovis finds he can get into being pirate captain with such a jaunty crew; but rain drives them indoors. It rained their first and last days, relentlessly. They ignored it on Day 1, but then Clovis and Sadie both got struck by lightning, so they started taking it more seriously.



"I'm sorry I picked on your daddy."
"Well, you ought to be! Ma'am."
Kitty suppresses a smile. "He seems to have taught you manners, anyway."
(Can I help it gesture skepticism works in other contexts?)



By the last day, Kitty is a lot more relaxed, and permitting her son-in-law liberties that would've gotten his butt kicked when they arrived.

Uhh, Peni, I thinks it time to "untie" them, because everyone seems desperate to have a baby/grandchild, and by everyone, it includes you!

Wait, if they are 10 days from elder, she can't become prego, right? That's how the game mechanics are, right?

Three or four days. I have an alien child whose father got abducted six days from elder, and a core family who turned elder in tandem while the baby was still in the crib. If she rolls the want again next rotation without the fear I'll do it, because the procedure is reversible; but Clovis just wants to woohoo and would be doing it mostly to win points with Kitty and because he never could say no to Sadie. They're both Romance, though she's got a family secondary.

Meanwhile, more vacation highlights:



Andice and Lance discover the ocean.



Granny teaches them how to fish, an activity at which Lance proves particularly apt.



Granny keeps an eagle eye on Clovis while Sadie takes the kids on a glass-bottomed boat tour.



Andice, tired out from swimming, taking a bad tour, and witnessing Granny and Clovis in conflict, commandeers the hammock for a nap - partly so Granny can't have it. Kitty refused to sleep in the house, but took the hammock in preference to the single bed in the same room as the kids.

Margaret and Lucas Iana stayed in a lot on their honeymoon, but Margaret also took Lucas out so he could have new experiences.



Lucas realizes he needs to step up the yoga if he wants to keep up with his wife!



Dove gets to know her Aunt Naomi on the beach at Twikki Island, where Daddy took them to get over the shock of Grandad and Grandma dying on the same day. They will soon be bonding in a water balloon fight.



"You know that took, right?"
"Yeah, you already smell different. Well, we knew when we went into the tent without a backup in hand it was likely as not. You need to wash the salt off as soon as we get home, and I'll put some ointment on you."
"You're pretty red youself, hon."
"I'm not regulating my temperature for two. Where the hell is that waitress?"

Sage Ann has wanted to go to Takemizu for a long time. The boys are in college, they have plenty of money, there's no particular crisis going on in Ernest's mining conglomerate at the moment, so why not? Ernest even lets her talk him into wearing a kimono, which he actually finds pretty comfy. Here Sage Ann shows that she appreciates his wearing funny clothes for her, and also subtly warns off the tourist who keeps trying to talk him up. Not that she'd get anywhere with Mr. Monogamy here.



They both teleported spontaneously at the zen garden earlier, but she couldn't replicate the conditions elsewhere, so when she spotted this guy teleporting a little later she ran over to ask how he did it. When he asks which is better, courage or wisdom, she of course says wisdom, and he clues her in.



Well, what do you know? It works!



Ernest, meanwhile, addresses his own priorities, although by his standards the amount of money that's about to rain down on him is chump change.
