Challenges are a self-scored, goal-oriented style of gameplay that the player may attempt at any time. Classic Sims 2 challenges include the Legacy, the Apocalypse, and the Asylum. Anyone is welcome to post Sims 3 challenges to this forum, so long as they follow the same ongoing style.
Contests are judge-scored, time-based competitions in which a winner is determined from several contestants. To protect contest participants, who put a lot of effort into playing, MTS has rules designed to see that contests are successfully and fairly completed. Please see those rules in the Contest forum.

Any posts in the TS3 challenges forum that include a time limit or voting or scoring other than self-evaluation by the person playing the challenge will be deleted.
