A vampire apocalypse would be awesome! >Here are two ways:

1. Do a challenge. Have your Sim get turned and then start befriending people left and right and turning them and spreading the love. In four weeks half of the town could be overflowing with vampires! It's better to have an all-vampire town than a town with forty percent vamps!

2. Make a mod, like the Zombie Apocalyse mod for The Sims 2! Activate it, and watch as the vampire turns everybody out on the streets into instant vampires (instead of that two week waiting period). Then during the day the surviving Normals would train and during the night you set camp in your house, watching out for vampies!

I would like the latter. What do you think?

Vampire apocalypses don't happen, because vampires are intelligent and have no interest in causing an apocalypse, since the destruction of all the humans would eliminate their food supply. Predators don't want to cause the genocide of their prey.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill because they pissed me off.

EA story progression already turns half the town into vampires the longer you play the town.. no need for there to even be an active vampire.

Unless EAxis patches this and heavily decrease the vampire turning rate. Which is one of the reasons why I'm waiting until Christmas to get Late Night.

But wouldn't a vampire outbreak simulation would be great?

turning half the town into vamps is the least of your worries regarding EA story progression.
which is why most of us use a different Story progression. and my town is not full of vamps...well not due to story progression anyhow...but they do breed quick

Well, I wouldn't be so sure about that. The move Daybreakers is pretty much a vampire apocalypse. They populated so much of the planet as vampires that they were running out of their own food source and becoming fucked up creatures. That sounds end-of-the-worldy, aka apocalyptic, to me. And if they were real, they would be flawed, and make retarded mistakes like humans make, well, because they were human once and in some ways still are. Long live Trogdor.

When my sim knows more than 5 vampires at a time, i kick them all out of the town. but i don't really enjoy it, it feels kind of racist.

Wow! I can't believe this got a response so recently.

Thinking about it, I had no idea what I was thinking when creating this thread, but I wonder if there is a Vampire Apocalypse challenge out there.

That would be pretty cool, but would Sims be able to defend them selves? Or just run away?
