I think I may have been banned from this website perhaps by mistake as I can't think of any other reason why I can't access this website through my old computer or even through my new laptop. Could someone please check. My ip is 69.155.225.217

I have so much stuff I want to upload.

thanks!

There's no bans on your IPs or your account. What error message(s) are you getting?

Safari can’t find the server.
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.modthesims.info/” because Safari can’t find the server “www.modthesims.info”.

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

-------------------------------
I have tried other browsers but these are the 2 I currently have installed. This has been happening for months now.

That's not a browser issue, but a DNS issue.

Try switching to Google Public DNS instead.

Just out of curiosity, what ISP are you using?

Tumblr - Yes, I have a blog. :)

<Corsix> Why 'mod the sims 2' when you can mod 'mod the sims 2'?

Hrm, we've had a bunch of people specifically from AT&T report this issue, but I've never been able to pin down *why* it happens.

Without using Google Public DNS, can you try going to the following URLs:

http://ns1.stitchionary.com/
http://ns2.stitchionary.com/
http://ns1.modthesims.info/
http://ns2.modthesims.info/

Tell me what you get for each.

Same message for all 4 websites without the use of Google Public DNS.

Hrm, that would explain why modthesims.info doesn't work - those 4 servers are the nameservers for the domain, so obviously if you can't reach them you can't reach the site.

...do name servers have nameservers?

Okay so over the weekend I changed up the DNS a bit, and added a secondary DNS via dyndns.org. Can somebody on AT&T please check and see if this has helped with accessing the website?

Thanks

It did work, although I do notice a slight lag of approximately 3-5 seconds in loading the website. I will revert to the Google Public DNS because of this.
