I received one notification a few weeks back about unlocking a new achievement which simply stated "You've unlocked the following achievement: ."
It never stated which it was.
I got one today which did the same thing. The title states I have unlocked a new achievement but doesn't list it in the message.
I know I can find the achievements on my profile but aren't these messages rather redundant as they stand if they don't tell you what you have unlocked?

They're not finished yet - not supposed to be being sent as far as I know . I wonder if it was triggered by me adding new achievements last night.

I got one too, but I'm not sure what I would be getting an achievement for exactly. I haven't done anything spectacular as far as I'm aware. Unless one of your new achievements is successfully obtaining mediocrity.

And the funny thing is, I tested that achievement by giving it to myself, and I don't have any dratted PM .

It can't have been the fiddling you did with the system last night because the first time I got one of these messages was almost a month ago.

Nope not regularly. Just the last two times I uploaded something. Both of which I actually HAD earned a new acheivement.

Just to confuse things even more; I never got a PM for any of my achievements. Of course, they may not be ones you would get a PM for.

I guess I`ve got one because I`ve got 100+ "thanks" and another one, because I`ve made a pet. I don`t know what I`ve done to get the last one

Anyway, just one of the achievements is showing up at my page. Do I have to PM someone to unlock the others?

Eh. I got one a couple of days back. All it said was that I unlocked a acheivement but it didnt say anything about what it was . After checking my acheivements I did note I got one . Maybe disabling the acheivement info and just settig it to sending a PM everytime a acheivement is unlocked may solve the problem.

Edit to add onto what I was suggesting :
It appears that the acheivement PMs were set to track each users acheivements and send out a PM everytime they earn acheivements , correct? I think the problem is that the system is not able to do that with multiple acheivements earned . I can see why in a sense that the average user may earn 2 acheivements in a week ,and if these PMs are sent every week, there would have to be around 118 different combinations for acheivements earned ,but this is benign . Now if someone were to earn 3 acheivements in a week that would cause for 177 acheivement combos , which is stil ok for the system . But, what if a person were to earn 4 ,5 or even 6 acheivemets in a week? Although probably impossible, thats a problem for the system because the system must be able to handle more than three , just in case you have that psycho overacheiver and he/she/it earns more than the average user acheivement wise (unless you set the maximum amount of acheivements per PM sent to three , then the system would have to send out more than one PM for each acheivement after the third acheivement earned ) Also, White it appears that the system may have not tracked that you earned the acheivement or might be a part that prevents Admins from giving acheivements to themselves for fairness sake . Try having another admin set the acheivement upon you and see if you get a PM . In that case, two people will have to take charge of the acheivement system

I dunno if that made sense and excuse my tea infused rambling I just had to put that out as to why I think the system didnt work . Also apologies if this is already known , I am very scatterbrained and like picking things apart in my head . Also, my math may or may not be correct ( I only used it to illustrate what I meant , so I dont really care) .

levini, the system doesn't work becuase theres a bug when retrieving the achievement titles. Absolutely nothing to do with combos whatsoever. Each achievement run can assign multiple achievements to a single user, so if they get more than one in a single day, thats perfectly fine.

Thaera, getting multiple PMs is probably also a bug too. You should only get 1 per achievement earned.

This will hopefully be fixed in a few mins.

Achievements PMs should now be fixed, as well as actually recording the damn things in the first place. If you get multiple today of the same thing, thats just me testing the system out.

Bonus: All achievement PMs now have the little pictures in them, and a link to the Accomplishments tab.
