Hihi!

The next theme we chose for you from the theme-poll is...

The Great Depression
We were thinking 1930's America - "Of Mice and Sims" - but you can explore outside that - we have our own great depression here in the staff room as over half of the moderators appear to have some form of flu.....

How to take part?
Make a Great Depression-themed upload. It can be anything - a lot, a sim, clothes, furniture, whatever comes to your mind, as long as it has something to do with the theme.

The upload process goes the way it normally does. You include required pictures, files, information... The only new requirement is that you include some of the following tags to your upload search keywords:
  • "theme-GreatDepression"
  • "GreatDepression"
  • "theme"

How long is the theme active?
The Great Depression-theme starts today, March 1st 2012 - and ends April 30th 2012.

Have fun with the new theme!

We have also had some really nice uploads on the ongoing theme. Here are a couple of examples, check them out!

I bet if someone picked up the trash from floor of the staff room instead of letting it spawn roaches, many of you wouldn't have caught the flu. That should also raise your Environment scores.

I can't wait to see what people come up with for this.

(In all seriousness, I hope all of you get well soon.)

I don't mind if you call me "MSD" or something for short.
Perhaps someday I'll have leisure time back...

I think I will take this opportunity to learn how to create, and create well. Now I gotta figure out what I want to do!

BTW, sickly folks, take giant doses of Vitamin C. I was sniffly earlier in the week and took a giant dose now I'm all better, albiet very hot since Mississippi can't figure out whether it wants to be hot or cold!

Great theme I'm currently working on a 1930s gown, nothing fancy but I was thinking about looking up authentic gowns and photo skinning them. (Take some Emergen C It tastes terrible but each pack has 1,000 mg of vitamin c take it twice a day for a few days and you should be able to kick the flu.... That concludes the advice of Dr. Kit lol)

Well, being made in the 1930's isn't really what makes it Great Depression themed. Of course, if you were to do the guillotine bit then I personally would class as that as depressing. I feel sure Marie Antoinette did.

You can do the scene anyway - it might just not be for this theme.
