I've checked my privacy in Firefox and have found cookies for modthesims.info.

However despite this I continue to get the error and can not download a single thing.

sadly the fix tutorial isn't helpful at all as my version of Firefox has none of the options we get asked to use.

I have the latest version of Firefox.

Try this to enable cookies in Norton!

Norton Personal Firewall

1. Double click on the Norton Personal Firewall icon in the tray.
2. Click on the Open option in the pop-up menu.
3. Click the Options icon in the Norton System Works menu box.
4. Click on the Personal Firewall option in the Options menu box.
5. Click the Advanced Options button at the bottom of the Norton Personal Firewall Options menu box to retrieve the default settings menu box.
6. Make sure you are in the "Web" tab. There may be several domains already listed in this area.
7. Click on the Add Site button at the bottom of the Web defaults window.
8. You will need to enter this URL as a new default. This should active the default rules section of that window.
9. Make sure the Cookies and Referer (under Browsing Privacy) are set to permit as a default rule for this domain.
10. Click OK, then click OK again.

To enable cookies with Norton Internet Security, perform the following steps:

1. Double click on the "Norton Internet Security" icon in the system tray.
2. Click on "Norton Internet Security", then "Status & Settings" .
3. Click on "Privacy Control", then "Configure". A new window will appear.
4. Click on "Advanced", then "Add Site" .
5. Enter "site name" (web site address without the quotes).
6. Select the "User Settings" tab.
7. Under "Cookies", un-check the box that says "Use Privacy settings" and set the value to "Permit" .
8. Click OK, then click OK again. Close Norton Internet Security.

I'd repeat GOC's question, then.

You will have to hunt around to find the options, but any decent program is going to have a spot where options like that (although possibly with slightly different names) are set up. It may be a bit like trying to follow a Milkshape tutorial in Blender, but both programs are designed to do the same things and both have ways to do them. Find out how to tell your program to allow cookies from MTS.

And if your program seriously does not have a way to allow cookies, you might want to look for a different one.

I am Ghost. My husband (who made the account because I was too shy) is sidneydoj. I post, he downloads, and I wanted to keep my post count.
