Joshua Evans is in the middle of a nesting tailspin: he's worried that his wife Beth won't have enough to eat during the final stages of her pregnancy, so he's turned cooking into a mania. Nevermind that neither of them are hungry and that Beth just put some turkey leftovers into the fridge.
(And right after I stopped him from making the unnecessary turkey, he went ahead and finished it anyhow without missing a beat. Poor Joshua. He couldn't be there as much as he wanted to be when Genesis was pregnant with Freya, so he's trying to make up for it now.)
"Max, I'll happily break into your house to cheer when you finally lose your virginity, but you can forget about flirting with me!"
The landlord picks on Mary Gavigan of Widespot. In the Ramaswamis' apartment. "Well I can't very well pick on her in her own apartment, can I? That'd be unreasonable."
Rhett Hart resolutely pretends not to know his daughter's grandpa in front of his date, Brandy the Wicked Witch, but she seems to know something's up.
"Why is this old man crying and making threatening gestures at us?"
"Uh - no idea. Must be one of those homeless schizophrenics you hear about. Social services ought to do something about that."
Rhett also has serious Mommy issues. He's trying to impress his new stepmother, Mary, but she's desperate to take a shower before his father gets up. Only she doesn't want to cut him off and hurt his feelings. Seriously, can't he smell that? She'll die if Valentine smells her like that!
