Okay well I had to get another processor for my computer. And my boyfriend and I put it in okay. I started the computer but every time its like 30 seconds later it freezes. But I can go into safe mode and safe mode with networking just fine. I have no idea what is wrong. It says the processor is updated already so it can't be that. Any ideas? |

Wait what? "The processor is updated already". What do you mean by that? Anyways, what kind of computer is it? What is the model number? What Operating System does it have, for example, Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OSX 10.1/2/3/4/5/6/7, or Linux. |

I don't have a signature, because I was to lazy to make one. |

Could it be overheating? When I first tried to install a processor I had trouble applying the right amount of thermal paste (I didn't know what I was doing, first I tried none at all, then too much, then too little etc.) and while I always shut it down before it got too hot, freezing is one of the things that would happen if your processor overheats. This is the program I use to check that my computers not melting: http://download.cnet.com/HWMonitor/...4-10793486.html That program does have a problem where it tells me something called CPUTIN is at an absurd temperature but its just a problem with the program. Other than that it does the job just fine. OH and for reference, my processor never goes above 45 degrees celsius. |
