I don't understand what or how this happened. I was using a terrain paint and suddenly there was a red grid all over my island (see attachment). Help!?

Footnote: Please be nice and patient with me. I'm really getting fed up with CAW, it's the most finicky, unfriendly program ever to come into existence. Learning Maya is easier than learning this stupid thing!

After looking at your pic with a magnifying glass, it looks like you need to zero your routing opacity slider...
