Wow, iv been distracted lately. Still i shall be finishing this contest.

Well here we are Mr and Mrs Collins,Kierra and of course little bump.
Welcome to your new home!

I know theres a lot to take in so lets have a good look at the outside before we venture in.

As you can see you have 2 drives, and a spacious double garage. You can see we kept the front landscaping to a minimum but it gives a good splash of foliage and colour. As we head up the stairs we come onto the small covered porch, great place to sit on a warm summer evening watching the views over the mountains.

Now, follow me into the large hallway. On our left here we have the formal dining room. We decided on a mixture of bold red and muted colours, which is reflected in the decor.

As we leave the dining room, across the hall is the den, with a huge modular sofa. Great for snuggling up or lazing around watching movies.

From here we head down the hallway to the large open plan kitchen with the less formal dining area, with great views into the back garden.

I know for many families the kitchn is the main room of the house so theres plenty of room for that here. The kitchen also features a large kitchen island with seating area and lots of storage. Theres also a walk in pantry between the kitchen and dining room.

Leading off from the kitchen is the great room, which has been turned into a more formal living room with large couches and big roaring fire.

Now lets head out to the garden before we venture upstairs.

There is a large playground are for Kierra, all fenced off as i know safety is a major concern for you Mrs Collins. You'll be pleased to know that the only access to the garden is through the house, and the playground is also fenced off and fitted with a gate.

As you can see theres also a small outdoor dining area for bbqs or even just keeping an eye on the children while they're on the playground.

On the other side of the garden, is a large greenhouse with reinforced glass so no safety worries there. It is lanscaped with lots of ferns and daffodils, which help keep it neutral. Theres also a few decorative touches such as sculoptures and lighting, aswell as your own apple and orange trees!

(And hidden away in the corner fenced off, is a great little spot which would be perfect for a hot tub!)

Now lets head back inside and show you the upstairs of the house.
This is a great feature of the house, a large atrium with huge windows that let in great light and a huge chandelier really make a big impact. 9and for you Mrs Collins, both up and down the stairs are fitted with safety gates!)

Well, as we come upstairs into the spacious hallway, to out left we come to Kierras room and bathroom.
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d107/chowgilly/4.jpg

And Kierras room, as you asked, fit for a princess.

If Kierra wants to stay here, we'll continue the tour. Now, i made some slight alterations to the plan you gave me to, what i feel, enhance the house.

Where the utility/washroom was located upstairs is now a guets room, or can be turned into another bedroom, should your lovely family expand any further"

Now we come to the nursery. I know that your keeping littles one gender as a surprise so its deortaed in neutral yellow and coral colours with dark wood which can apply for boy or girl. Theres lots of built in closet space, a large diaper station and lovely solid wood crib, as well as a few extras we threw in.

Now, Mr Collin,s welcome to the man room. Complete with walls finished in padded leather and bar to match. Theres also a full size pool table, darts and poker table.
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d...ntitled16-2.jpg

Lets move onto the master bedroom now, as you can see its done in red and greys which add depth to the room.

Theres also a small seating area in the room, as well as an easel to take advantage of he beautiful miountain views.

Before we head into the master bath, there is also a large walk in closet.
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d...ntitled19-3.jpg

The master bath, as you can see features a large luxurious corner tub, as well as double sink with lots of surface space.

Off to the left is a shower area, and tandem toilets!

Apologies if there are any mistakes, my kitty died today so my heads not in a good place right now.

Well I am being lugged off to camping tomorrow *sigh* which means I won't be able to finish up the contest. I am really sorry! I have my round 4 built and furnished ready for pics but there is just no point now as I will not be around for round 5. After camping I will have a lot on my plate I have about 12 appointments this week, my immigration stuff is going ALL wrong, I will have a new puppy not to mention the kitty we got on Tuesday! I would have loved to finish the contest as I was having a lot of fun but at this point I just can't.

If there is a cycle 3 count me in!!

Craftman's Finest

Mr. and Mrs. Collins have been searching for the perfect family home for their expanding family. With Mr. Collins' recent promotion (he is head designer of an international toy-making company) and its associated pay-rise, the family is in the perfect position to buy their dream home.

Another view

Mr. Collins fancied a house at the foot of the mountains. Surrounded by native pine trees and other flora, and with a tall, white picket privacy fence, this split-level house is isolated and private. The fence also provides an element of safety, as Kierra can play safely in the backyard.

The backyard also features the playground set that Kierra so desperately wanted. With a look-out tower, swing set, slide, monkey bars and merry-go-round, this area is sure to provide Kierra with plently of healthy, outside fun!

Another view

Main floor

The main floor of the house features an entry way, study, den (which has been converted into an art/craft room), half bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and the great room (which features as the living room). The rooms are all decorated in the same flooring and wall paper, to provide flow throughout the house. The study and art room are isolated from the main living areas, to avoid excess noise, while the kitchen, dining room and living rooms are all open, to provide for a family environment.

Study- another view

Dining room

Living room- another view

Top floor

The top floor features the master bedroom and bathroom, the nursery, Kierra's room, the bathroom, and the extra room, which was made into a games room, at Mr. Collins' request. The master bedroom features a cosy fireplace, and is decorated in warm browns and golds. Kierra's bedroom is decorated in her favourite colour, purple, with a vanity, doll house and desk. Mr. and Mrs. Collins requested that the nursery be decorated in neutral colours, as the gender of the baby will be a surprised, so the nusery colour scheme includes green, red and cream. Finally, the 'extra' room is currently being used as a 'games' room by Mr. Collins, and features a bar, dart board, pool table and sport memorabilia. Mrs. Collins plans to have all of this stuff moved to the spacious garage when the baby is born, and will have the extra room turned into a playroom for the kids!

Kierra's room- another view

Extra room- another view

As Mrs. Collins is concerned about safety, baby gates have been placed at the top of the stairs on the upper landing. these aesthetically pleasing security gates will provide both Kierra and the baby saftey when they are upstairs, and can easilly be removed when no longer needed.

Top landing

Garage/workroom

A spacious garage and workshop are provided on the bottom most floor of the house. Mr. Collins uses the workshop to develop ideas for new toys, and often stores new designs there before they are to be distributed and sold in stores. The spacious garage is where Mrs. Collins plans to move and store Mr. Collins' pool table, dart board and bar.

This house is situated on a 3x3 piece of land built into the foot hills, and is available to purchase, fully furnished and landscaped for a mere $174,427, under the Collins' budget of $190,000.

Playtesting resulted in all items being able to be used. Sims could use all of the playground equiptment, and access the work room and upper landing (where the gates are). This house was really challenging, to build split level, and to limit the number of pictures I posted. I had so many!!!)

I was up til the buttcrack of dawn trying to get a roof on my porch before I got mad and gave up -- my game won't let me put a roof on unless I take all the windows off and then when I put the windows back, they are filled with wall, you know what I mean. So I was wondering if we can have til the end of today so I can get my game loaded again and use cheesey roof pieces, which were not in my cc folder last night, just to get it done and my pics taken to get my house turned in sometime today. I should've taken pics of everything else but I was too frustrated and tired to do it.
I'll be back later with my house with a crappy porch roof. Jut not sure how long it will take.

If everyone hasn't gotten in by then, I'll extend till midnight, but I won't be able to be on my computer at that time to close this thing down. If I didn'th ave to drop off a final exam at school tomorrow, then I could be on till midnight.. but, since I have to get up early like a regular school day... I gots to go to be earlier....

Thanks, clw8, but I went and tried and have gotten nothing but more frustrated with my house. I don't know what the problem is. Usually, you pull off the windows, put the roof on, slap the windows back on and it's all gravy but not on this house for some reason. So, judges, excuse my cruddy porch roofline and admire the rest, please. I am sick of beating a dead horse and am here with 15 pics to show off what I did.

Collins family, we've found your dream home! And, coincidentally, it's called Collinscraft. It's a beautiful two storey home with lots of space for a busy family.

Here's a few angle shots of the exterior of the home and the lawns. A short fence surrounds the yard, enclosing a small play area for Kierra. Next we have a couple close ups of the entry area for you to see the architecture.

Following are floor plan shots showing you the large amount of living space to be found in your new home. The bottom floor is a double garage with shop area.

Wow. Look at all that room for your family to get down to the business of family living! The first floor has plenty of room for kicking back and entertaining. You can have dinners either in the eating area off the open kitchen or in the formal dining room. The upstairs boasts a large master suite featuring a full bathroom with walk-in dressing room. The front bedrooms are ready for your children -- princess wallpaper for Kierra and the nursery is ready for your newborn to explore the land of Pooh. Wedged between those two rooms is a small laundry. The second storey also features a large game room waiting and ready for Mr Collins to enjoy his favorite indoor sports during his free time.

Sorry about the roof. I'm off to have fun building Round 5 -- which is a modern house with a flat roof (thank the gods!).

Well, thanks. While looking over my pics, I just noticed that the tiling in the upstairs bathroom vanished sometime between last night and me taking pics this afternoon. Cute. Ever so cute.

Mr and Mrs Collins, this is your new home! A beautiful Craftsman style property complete with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a cloakroom. It has shedloads of storage and a wealth of space in the garage area. Let me guide you through the magnificent building and tell you why this house will be yours tonight.

First off, lets look at the first floor. To your left is the formal dining room, isn't it a beautiful room? Can you imagine the dinner parties you could throw in here?

The den is adjacent to the dining and is a nice space for a quiet read and a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the rest of the household. It has been tastefully decorated with mellow colours in mind to reflect the sanctuary it is.

The back of the house is more open plan and leads on to the back garden and views of the surrounding mountains. You said you wanted mountains Mr Collins, this place has them by the bucketload. Starting in an anti-clockwise direction, you have the kitchen on your left with a fantastic island in the middle to create a divider to the rest of the room, but also allowing for it to blend in as well. Next up you have your breakfast nook, with loads of natural light flooding in. And then on your right is the family room, with built in bookcases and fireplace. And then finally you have the main staircase leading upto the next floor.

Lets just have a quick look at the garden before I let you see the rest of the house. Plenty of space including a play area for little Kierra.

The top floor consists of all the bedrooms as well as the obligatory games room which opens up from the landing. As you make your way up the stairs you will notice the impressive picture window which dominates the stairwell. At the top, the master suite is on your right. This includes a incredibly spacious bedroom, large bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.

As you can see, very impressive. At the other end of the property are the other two bedrooms, final bathroom and utility room. As we go back onto the landing with the games room on beside us, Kierra's new bedroom is the door on the right. As I recall she specified wanting a pink bedroom, so I hope this meets her approval.

The final bedroom I know you wanted as a nursery and I think this room is perfect. It has plenty of space for a child to grow into.

And finally an overview of the property. The ground floor consists of the garage area, plenty of room for two cars and everything else. The first floor is living accommodation, and then lastly on the second floor you get the sleeping area.

Any questions? Yes, I do have a pen on me. Yes, yes, you sign just here.

Good luck to everyone who is left! Now, on to building Round 5. I'm a little worried that I have chosen a house plan that is too big, and that I will run out of funds. Eek!

Wednesday oh no I am at my grandmas here till sometime wed and I have not even started on Round 5. My mom has a eye doctors appt and I am the only one who can go with her. She can't drive and can hardly see at all. I don't know when I will get home then, sometime in the afternoon. If I worked all night I may have it done before anyone gets up on Thursday but that is hard I am not sure if I can get it done.

Round Four

Welcome, Mr. & Mrs. Collins, to your new home!

As you can see, safety was our number one priority, Mrs. Collins. There are railings on every outdoor (and indoor) staircase, fences on the balconies, and a massive privacy fence in the backyard to keep creepers and burglars away from the house.

We stuck to the floorplan as much as possible. The first floor of the home boasts a spacious entry way, a cozy office, a formal dining room, a half bath, a laundry room, a modern kitchen, a breakfast nook, and a living room.

The second floor features three bedrooms (including the nursery), a game room, and two bathrooms (one which is attached to the master bedroom). As you can see, we added a fence around the staircase opening to ease your mind, Mrs. Collins!

The living room is painted in a calming tan hue with a red accent wall (behind the fireplace) to match the red accent pillows you have on your couch. It also contains a beautiful fireplace and tons of natural lighting.

The kitchen is painted in the same tan color as the living room, but with a darker accent wall behind the fridge. It features a gas range, a modern glass-fronted fridge, and a dishwasher. The dining room has tons of windows and awesome views, making it a fun place to sit and eat dinner as a family and watch the sunset! The dining room seats four comfortably, with room for a bigger table.

The game room is Mr. Collins' favorite part of the house! The deep blue walls are complemented well by the rich wooden floors and cherry window. The room features a dart board, a pool table, and a minibar.

The soothing yellow nursery is gender neutral, seeing as you don't know the gender of your baby yet, Mrs. Collins. The dark wood frames of the furniture pop against the yellow walls and beige carpeting. Any newborn baby would feel safe and comfortable in this nursery.

Aah, Kierra's room! Fit for a princess! The purple walls look great with Kierra's yellowish furniture. There is a princess doll on her nightstand and a green princess dress on a mannequin next to her bed, plus princess paintings hanging on the walls. Kierra, as you can see, is absolutely thrilled with her room!

Once again, we had a fabulous time building for you, Collins Family! Hope you enjoy your new home!

ETA: Forgot to add, the beautiful home came in fabulously underbudget at $151,214

I'm sure we would all love it if you did. I don't know about anyone else but I, myself, am behind on everything in life after being sick with a bad cold last week or else my Round 4 would've been done ahead of time and my next round started before yesterday.
