I'll get right to it - are lighting mods possible in the way they were in TS3? I don't like TS4's lighting system and I bet making some changes to the environment lighting would help a lot. For one, I think the nights are too bright. What files control these values, and where can I find them?

Right, I've downloaded the WorldColorTimeLine_0x19301120.bt file and have it opened in Notepad++. What files do I need to extract with S4PE? Do the lighting config files work in a way similiar to TS3's?

Those .bts are meant to be used with 010 Editor or something similar. Not sure how much it'll tell you just to look at them.

0x19301120 is the type of that resource .. so look for that type in whichever world you want to edit. Make a backup first; like they say in that post you're going to have to edit the actual world.

So I'm gonna have to do Hex editing? Oh man, that confuses the crap out of me.
