I did not know they banned inactive users. That's a bit extreme. I suppose their thought behind the ban is so people will be a site participator rather than just a site consumer.

While I appreciate many of Chris Hatch's mods -- he's so talented! -- I don't find BackAlleySims.com to be a place where I'm comfortable pulling up a chair and staying awhile. I'm a little afraid of what might I might catch from those chairs. ;-)

If one post will keep me from being banned, then I'm safe. I could not figure out how to get Chris' Walk to Sims mod to work in my game and had to ask. Silly me, I didn't realize that I needed that mod in addition to the Visit Other Sims mod. Thankfully, Chris' reply was very cordial. He didn't come close to making me feel like the Sim-dummy I am.

I downloaded the set but have not tried to use it. The instructions say the only things that can be sold are community items, not residential. I'm not sure what is affected. Does this mean Sims can only sell what is available to them in the Business section? I was hoping for something that would allow one family to sell fruits, another to sell veggies, while another sold baskets or chickens or some other nifty thing that sunni at medievalsims.com has come up with.

Wow, I just startled my husband by screaming. There are so many goodies listed - I'm seeing a number of mods that I can let go of/switch out. I will also finally be able to add the hospital mod to my game, and the upcoming stuff sounds interesting too. Thanks for posting this, Charity!

That's exactly what you need; the Global Sculpture and the Global Overrides. The other hacks on that page are either updates of previously existing hacks to work with the sculpture or one that does community lot time.

Charity, did you see the new mod for having adult female butlers (released on 10/8)? It's not in the family friendly section and I'm at the office right now, so I can't link to it. None of my sims can ever afford a butler, but for those that use them and would like a female one, Chris' mod makes it possible.

@Justpetro Apparently there is no user with your name at BAS. What name did you use there? This was the response I got anyway.

The funny thing is, even with the "not-really-a-ban", they should still be able to contact me via PM. In this case, however, the database has no record of anyone with the username Justpetro. I even tried a couple of variations with no luck. The best advice I can give is for him to either try to contact me directly or make a new account. If he uses the latter option, I'll still need him to contact me so I can remove the old account (if it still exists).

Thanks, @Charity - I forgot about that - it's JustMe (for no reason I can think of). I just checked - I can log in, but then am told I am banned forever with no reason given.

Ok, I tried again.

What Chris should do (and by default, BAS) is make a separate website with all of his 'family friendly stuff' accessible to anyone. This BS about BAS is stupid and silly. I've tried to log in, and every single time I can't because the site's forgotten my password, which was automatically put in. So I have to request a new one every time.

Really irritating and pointless. It's the reason why BAS is losing the audience. When you make it impossible to access anything, why bother to try at all? I understand the thing about 'adults only'-but that's not the point.
