TS2 Neighborhood Maps
These are the rubrics that MTS staff use for evaluating TS2 Neighborhood Maps shared here.
The title above the post text controls the rubric's category, a number indicating its display order in the list, and its title, with no spaces between the word and the dividing | character: Category|Display Order|Title
Titles that begin with ** are rubric items that will not apply to every upload (an "Other" sim is not going to need a comparison picture or be evaluated based on likeness, for example) and thus can be set to N/A by the moderator when evaluating an upload. Links below the title are provided to the creator along with the rubric reasons and are links to the appropriate section of the guidelines, relevant tutorials, etc.
In the post text, the numbers at the beginning of a line indicate the star rating for a particular rubric item, with a possible 1 to 5. Exactly how these numbers are used will vary based on the type of rubric item... Is it a "was it done right? yes or no?" type evaluation which would have only 1 or 5 as options? Or a matter of quality that will be more of a sliding scale including 1, 2, 3, 4, 5? Or something else?
A dividing | character can be given at the end of any one of the 1-5 star items to give a link that is relevant to that item.
Note to moderators: This first post (the summary) must be maintained manually. If you delete or add a rubric item or reorder anything, please edit this first post. All edits to Common Rubrics requiring editing its summary must be manually updated on every single individual rubric thread. Please copy the # link to use in the summaries, not the post number, to view the individual post.

Quality|1|Terrain Sculpting
1:The terrain sculpting needs more work, it is very hilly making it difficult to build on. You can use Creator Feedback to improve your work.2:The terrain sculpting needs more work: it is quite flat. Try adding interesting features such as a plateau, hills, mountains, or valleys to make your terrain look more interesting.
3:You have sculpted the terrain in a way that looks nice and natural. Nice!
4:You have sculpted the terrain in a way that looks like there is nice amount of variation, and it looks natural. Good job!
5:You have really gone the extra mile sculpting this world. There is great amount of variation and it looks very natural and realistic. Awesome!
5:The neighbourhood is a full neighbourhood built on a default terrain, so the terrain sculpting isn't your fault!

Quality|2|Road Network
1:There are issues with the roads. The road network should make sense, and there should be intersections where the roads meet, and at any dead-end. The intersections should also be properly connected to roads to create crosswalks. The roads should have smooth grade and not be too steep. Please check that your road network meets these requirements.3:Your road network is playable.
5:Your road network seems to be very well planned and executed!

Files|1|SC4 File
1:The SC4 file is not named correctly and will not work in game. It needs to be 'Hoodname.sc4', and not 'City - Hoodname.sc4'. It needs to match the name of the image files5:You have named your file properly and it will work in game. Yay!

Files|2|Image File Names
1: There are no terrain image files, the map will not work correctly in game without them. 2: The terrain image files are not named correctly and will not work in game. These will be named the same as your neighborhood, with an underscore, and the terrain type. For example: "HoodName_concrete.png", "HoodName_desert.png", "HoodName_dirt.png", and "HoodName_lush.png".
5: The terrain image files are included and are named correctly and will work properly in game.

Information|1|Custom content - Credits and links
1:All custom content used in a neighborhood must be credited and linked. This means a short description of the item, the name of who made it, and a clickable, working link to where the item may be found. If you can't link to a download page (because of a frames/flash site), then link to the creators page or the site you got the content from, and explain in the post how the items can be found. Please do not claim unknown or other creators work as your own or just put "unknown."2:You have credited custom content, but the links are either not clickable, are incorrect, or are not labeled clearly. All custom content used in a neighborhood must be credited and linked. 5:Your neighborhood uses no custom content, so need for credits and links. Yay!
5:You have given proper credits and links for the custom content. Yay!

Screenshots|1|Overview picture
1: There is no overview picture of the neighborhood, showing the entire neighborhood from a high angle or top-down view. If it can't fit all in one pic, then it's okay to use multiple pics to show the whole thing.2: There is an overview picture (or pictures) of the neighborhood, but you have not shown it in each of the four terrains.
2: There is an overview picture (or pictures) of the neighborhood, but not enough of the neighborhoodcan be seen in the overview. Make sure that you show the entire neighborhoodfrom a high angle or top-down view, and if you need to do multiple pics to show everything, that's fine too.
2: There is an overview picture (or pictures) of the world, but it is shown with custom sky dome and/or horizon. Make sure to include the required images with the games default sky and/or horizon.
3: The overview picture(s) shows the entire neighborhood layout.
5:Your overview image(s) are fantastic. It shows the entire neighborhood so that the layout is clear and easy to understand. Thanks!
