Default Career tuning for more challenging gameplay
There is a career tuning file at <install drive>\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Data\Simulation\Gameplay\simulation.zip\careers

The same folder contains in total:
- career_tuning.pyo
- career_base.pyo
- career_interactions.pyo
- career_ops.pyo
- career_service.pyo
- career_tracker.pyo
- retirement.pyo

Tweaking the tuning file to reduce how much a sim is paid for their job would make gameplay more challenging. I tried decompiling career_tuning.pyo but no decompilers seem to be working for me. This file has segments in it like this:
Quote:
A tunable list of test sets and associated multipliers to apply to
the moment of promotion. A resulting modifier multiplier of 0.10 means that promotion
could happen up to 10% earlier. A value less than 0 has no effect.

Maybe someone who is able to decompile these files could see if job pay rates are in this file and tweak it for a little more challenge?

This should be in the packages file, not the script.
