Default Edit (mod?) employee NPCs in my purchased business help please
I'm having a problem with NPCs I have hired to be employees. I think the only solution is editing (modding?) them. I want them all to wear the same uniform but for whatever reason I can't assign the same one assigned to the first female employee to the rest of the female employees. At first I discovered this is because two of them are teens even though I seen no indicator they were teens when I chose to hire them. So I tried sim PE and sim manipulator (in game object mod) to change them from teens to adults. Unfortunately unless I'm missing a step the now adult sim still is only showing the same uniform options as when they were teens. I even tried just changing their casual outfit using sim manipulator yet when looking through the adult outfits the outfit that was used as the assigned uniform for the first female sim is absent from the outfits presented, despite the facts that many of the ones from the assign uniform panel (for the first female sim) are present along with others that are not present in the uniform panel. Any ideas on a solution for me? Thanks.

If I recall correctly, changing a Sim's age in SimPE is more of a physical change, such that they will look the part but behave like their original age. So unless you aged them in-game, they would still be flagged as Teens and the catalog should show outfits for teens. I think clothes need to be converted to go from teen-to-adult or adult-to-teen.

But perhaps I'm not fully understanding your problem. Perhaps pictures could help?

I don't mind if you call me "MSD" or something for short.

You got it right. I need to make my teen employees grow up to adult so that they act, look, and can wear stuff as if they were adults to begin with. I can do that any way that will work to make that happen. I have sim PE and can use any in game mod or anything else that will let me do that. I just have no idea how to go about doing it. I seem to recall a long time ago using a mod in game to make playable sims friends (non-playable sims) grow up when mine grew up. But can't recall what it was I used or how I used it.

I think you are referring to the interaction (added in Free Time, I think) that allows you to grow up Townie children when your playable child Sims ages to Teen, perhaps?

As for going about changing Townie's ages, I usually use a mod to make the Sim selectable, use a mod to change their age in-game, and then make them unselectable again.

I don't mind if you call me "MSD" or something for short.

I must be doing something wrong then as the sim manipulator (an in game object) that has a change age and grow up selection aren't working unless I'm not doing something right. I use boolprop testingcheatsenabled true to be able to make them selectable and then with them selected interact with sim manipulator and choose adult. But then they still are only able to wear teen clothes. I have to exit the lot and go back in to be able to interact with management interact. Perhaps I can use whatever mod you use to do this with since I am having problems? Assuming you are using a different one.

Are you sure you are talking about NPC's or townies? NPC's sporn and work at unowned businesses, townies get hired at playbale businesses. There is a difference between the two groups of sims.

So they are townies. Why not just hire adult townies if you want adults? Teens work for less though.

I thought I was hiring adults. I had no idea teens could be hired. They had badges that were appropriate for retail. I just don't know why the age changing isn't applying to clothing. Which s why I thought I was doing something wrong. Plus I suspect this won't be the first time I will want age up a townie and change their clothes (may not be uniform) so I suspect I'll run into this again even if I alter the route and lay off these two and replace them with adults and then mod those adults with badges to match the ones being replaced. Having played now for 25 sim days I'm inclined to just stick with what I got and hope to figure out the issue. Maybe I need to make them a playable sim move them into a house change them with sim manipulator and them make them townies again?

When you see their picture when you hire them the teen head won't be quite as tall as the adult and they normally look younger although occasionally it can be hard to tell. You should be able to move them in with the simlogical summoner, age them up, change their clothes make them townies and rehire them. If you age them up without moving them in first they are likely to have a glitched grow up aspiration.

Excellent, that mod worked. Though it appears to be called teleporter (summoner appears to be a TS1 mod). After moving in the one teen the interact of grow me up worked from the sim manipulator. She aged up to adult as would be expected when a sim you create ages up. I had to edit a few things with sim pe. Her family status was severed so I had to insert her back into her previous family. For flavor though probably meaningless I edited memories from didn't go to college to went to college. When this sim grew up the game gave me the option to pick sims to grow up with her. Of which one was the other teen employee so I chose her to grow up that way. I edited the 2nd one in sim pe to change bad experience as younger (or something like that) to good and also did the went to college change in memories. The end result is they were properly adults so I could change their uniorms as if they always were adults.

How can you hire NPCS? Pls help. I was trying to hire the exact employees I need e.g. animal trainers, nanny, etc. so that they play their parts at dfifferent businesses. Or do I have to hire townies?

if you read the thread you will see I asked if he was actually hiring townies or NPC's - because hiring NPC's can't be done. If you phone for an animal trainer she will come to your sims house and train your cat or dog, you can't have her work for you in a business. You hire townies or other playables and can assign them jobs such as sales, restock, bar tender (There is no animal trainer or nanny job) You can certainly make your playable controllable sim into a pretend nanny or animal trainer. If you want to play a day care you can teleport in toddlers and have your owner take care of them as a day care worker and have families pay via Monique's computer or Christianlov's wallet token.

I see. It's just so much for me to do with so little time...
