WCIF High Quality or HD Default Replacement Plates?
I've always used Ganguro's DR plates, but I am seeking something different. A change of things. And I'm particularly interested in high quality, beautiful plates (no blurs, etc.). I want to use one that gives of a feel of a real plate via appearance. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly welcomed and appreciated!

May I just barge into this thread please?
I'm also looking for dinnerware, but a particular set by OneBillionPixels - her Gothic Lace default replacement plates.
As well as the kettle and stew pan. They're all shown in this post here - http://mysims3blog.blogspot.com.au/...te-default.html
I haven't been able to find any of them anywhere. I've been looking for months. Even Wayback Machine is absolutely no help. Does anyone have them that they could possibly share please?

Ahhh, thank you all for the helpful links! Of course, if anyone else has suggestions, post them away. I love looking at various DR plates. I want to make some myself...but I do not know how to do this.

I made some more, lol: https://sweetdevil-sims.tumblr.com/...etailed-edition
If you want, I can post my templates; you only have to replace the images and then import them into a package.
The only things you need are a graphic editing program that supports DTX5 (for editing the images), and S3PE (for creating the package).

I would LOVE that, sweetdevil! I do have Adobe Photoshop CS4. How would I go about importing images into a package? I am a complete noob at this. x)
Also, I saw your post and lmao. :

>digs in own folders for CC and finds some nice plates
>searches on Google Images for more plate designs
>half of desktop now filled with images of plates
whyyyy?"

Haha, you know how things are: you start off saying "I'll only look at pictures", and next thing you know you have 100MB of them XD
Here's the archive, which includes 2 PSD templates for the large plate and the bowl, plus all the plate textures extracted: http://simfileshare.net/download/334548/
S3_00B2D882_00000000_1D8223A8BB2DBCE2%%+_IMG - the bowl used for pet food (if you have PETS; otherwise you can ignore this image)
S3_00B2D882_00000000_16E8DE149A465B8F_bowlSmall_dirty_0x16e8de149a465b8f%%+_IMG - the small bowl, dirty state
S3_00B2D882_00000000_25A16B7194DCED83%%+_IMG - the small plate that kids use when cooking with the kids oven
S3_00B2D882_00000000_857808C9476A1FD6_bowlSmall%%+_IMG - the regular dinner bowl
S3_00B2D882_00000000_A62558E5650C899B_plateDinner%%+_IMG - the regular dinner plate
S3_00B2D882_00000000_B0ECF206E5295C2B_mixingBowlChild%%+_IMG - the small bowl that kids use when cooking with the kids oven (I don't normally replace this one)
S3_00B2D882_00000000_EEE585E5934FBAFB%%+_IMG - the large bowl used in cooking animations
The plate and bowl templates are slightly different: the bowl has a larger rim than the plate, so the drop shadow circle has a smaller radius.
Of course, you can use different textures for every bowl and plate type if you want to, you don't have to have them all match
EDIT: make sure you get the DDS plugins for Photoshop!
Here's how I do it:
1) I open all the images in PS and import the new plate texture into the PSD for the plate, which I resize to fit the image. I do this because it's easier to see which file I'm working on, and because you need to save the new textures with the exact same filename as the default ones. After you've made sure the texture covers the plate shape properly, you can cut the texture by Ctrl-clicking on the icon of the plate shape layer, then moving to the layer with your texture and pressing Delete.
2) After doing anything else you may need to do (color, brightness, contrast, shadow adjustments), merge all your layers (select them and Ctrl-E), select all (Ctrl-A) and copy (Ctrl-C). Then hit Ctrl-Alt-Z until your layers are unmerged again.
Paste this over these two resources:
S3_00B2D882_00000000_25A16B7194DCED83%%+_IMG
S3_00B2D882_00000000_A62558E5650C899B_plateDinner%%+_IMG
and save them with their names.
3) Moving on to the small bowl template now. Go back to your plate template and select only the texture layer, then copy it over to the bowl template and resize it. Repeat step 2 (except now you don't need to unmerge your layers).
Paste this over these two resources:
S3_00B2D882_00000000_16E8DE149A465B8F_bowlSmall_dirty_0x16e8de149a465b8f%%+_IMG
S3_00B2D882_00000000_857808C9476A1FD6_bowlSmall%%+_IMG
and save them with their names.
4) Now the other bowls. I don't usually bother adding designs to them because they turn out quite stretched and blurry, so solid colors are the better option. I work directly on the resources themselves, never bothered with a template.
You'll work with these three resources:
S3_00B2D882_00000000_1D8223A8BB2DBCE2%%+_IMG
S3_00B2D882_00000000_B0ECF206E5295C2B_mixingBowlChild%%+_IMG
S3_00B2D882_00000000_EEE585E5934FBAFB%%+_IMG
and save them with their names.
5) And finally, to bring the files into the game, open S3PE and create a new project (Ctrl-N or File \ New). Click on Resource \ Import \ From File... and browse for your new textures, then import them all. Click OK on the dialog, then save your package (Ctrl-S) and put it in your Mods \ Packages folder. That's it!

RE: WCIF High Quality or HD Default Replacement Plates?
Wow! Thank you, sweetdevil! It's easier than I thought it was. I am making some 18th Century DR plates/bowls to go with my 18th Century world. And I'm, also, creating a pewter, silver, and wooden DR plates/bowls for those who have other historical-themed worlds. It really is addicting....
