My middle name is a filler middle name and I dont like it. I hate hearing both my first and middle name because they don't really flow together.

I'm indifferently curious.

My middle name is Brooke... first name Ashley. And yes, before I got married, my last name began with a "C" so my initials were ABC which I always thought was pretty cool.

We my husband and I have kids we are taking the opportunity to give them unique middle names... if it's a boy: Logan Wolverine... if it's a girl: Bianca Persephone.

I know a couple who gave their son the middle name of "Nintendo"... Zak Nintendo. They thought about Zak Backpack too.

My middle name is okay, though I've got at least 3 other friends who have the same one, but Whitney Nicole flows well enough.

My middle name is Marie and I hate it. It's so common! I have four friends who share it. Combined with my first name, it's Adrienne Marie, which is an acquiescence to the French side of my family, because my last name is completely and utterly German.

Mine are Katherine Heather, which makes me Laura Katherine Heather. I like Katherine, not so fond of Heather though. And having two middle names makes my name too long for some official forms, and a lot of places (like my bank and university) just use the Katherine part of it anyway on official documents etc. Which I think is kind of daft, because now the name on my degree doesn't match the name on my passport *sigh*

I'm also a Marie, Rabid. It's so utterly COMMON. My parents went with a lovely alliteration for the nauseating combo of Mandi Marie. Blech.

But one of my best friends, Kelsey, have Fleetwood Mac fans for parents and struck gold with Rhiannon.

She is. My other friend got stuck with Holford, though, which makes him the butt of many-a joke.

Rhiannon is a rather adorable name, my younger sisters first name is Rhiannon and her middle name is Elise. Rhiannon Elise. She was named after my grandma. My middle name is Isabelle so combined with my first name it's Adrienne Isabelle. Believe it or not my name has been passed down in my family. My granddad is named Adrian, my dad is Adrian Jr. But I do NOT intend to pass the name down to my children :p

My middle name is my dad's mom's maiden name. She was an only child and didn't have any cousins, so the name's effectively died in that branch of the family, except as a middle name. I like it because its the only unique thing about my very, very normal name: Sara Truett Reallycommonlastname. I got off lucky though. My mom said that they were considering naming me Percy, after her great-grandmother.

I wish I had an interesting middle name! I want to change my name legally, but I can't think of anything funny enough. My friend bet me £100 in 2000 that I wouldn't change my name to Millenium Dome; the bet's still on but I don't have the guts to do it! I need a unique but silly name- including middle name, preferably something that is not gender specific, as it helps when job hunting. Millenium Dome sounds like a female porn star, and I can't think of a middle name to go with it anyway!

My middle name is Renee. Mom got it from knowing what my first name would be, then watching movie credits, and switching in random middle names. I guess in some movie she saw a Renee, and voila!

I like it. It sounds just fine with my first name. So, I can't complain, can I?

-Holy Hell!-
The cement is just - it's there for the weight dear!

Nice 'n' easy does it everytime...

i love my middle name (Topaz) and my brothers (Hunter)
but i feel bad for people who have insane middle names
wasnt it originally a catholic thing? like catholics gave their kids the middle name of a saint?
my mums middle names are insane (Marie-Thecla)
hahaha
#122 Old 1st Dec 2008 at 9:27 AM
Yes, tangerinesplash, it started as a catholic thing. I only have a middle name because my parents are catholics. It doesn't show in my passport or anything. It's Hedwig, BTW. Hate it. It was my grandma's first name. Now only my moms brother (my uncle) calls me by it and I haven't seen him for like ten years so I'm good :-D.
My daughters middle name is Maria which is also my moms middle name.

My middle name is a female form of my grandpa's name (his name is Josip, aka some kind of form of Joseph) and it's Josipa... Combined with my first name, it's Veronika Josipa. Or more 'english', Veronica Josephine. Oh god.
I can't wait till I'm older and murder those names with something better!

Not sure about it being a catholic tradition. In my country most people are named by their godparents and they usually get the name of one of their godparents. Middle name is in most cases parent's choice but very few people use it instead of the first name.

My middle name is "Ann". I don't mind it at all. My initials is: KAB (not shouting )
