Default Is a there a mod that ages up all the children when the child that you're playing grows up to a teen?
I know that there's a built in feature that allows you to age up the children that your child is friends with but it only lets you choose a few so I'm wondering if there is a mod that ages up all the children in the town that you're so the neighborhood wouldn't feel so static.

The closest thing I can think of is this mod that lets you "ask" townies to grow up, with some limitations (they are in the thread OP):

There's no automatic system as far as as I know.

Slowly moving steps into basic TS2 modding.

I like to use the FreeTime option to age up townies that my sims know and it limited it to only 3 but with Squinge mod "Age More Townies - AL" will allow up to 10 if you want them to age more.

As far as I can tell, the above mods the townies have to be friends, and it does not work for CHILDREN. I just hate all those orphans, befriending generation after generation.

Syberspunk made several "flavors" of his Growuptownies mod. I use the one that requires no relationship. At the very bottom of the first post in the thread at MATY, there are two zip files. You need growuptowniesinteraction.package from the growuptownies.zip file no matter which version you're getting.

The second file (growuptowniescontrollers.zip) is the one with the alternate options. It has several different replacement versions of the file growuptowniescontroller.package. Pick only ONE version!

Also be careful who you click on. The version that removes relationship checks also removes "type" checks, so it's now possible to accidentally click on NPCs that you shouldn't touch.

2) notypecheck - removes age AND type check (allows option for PCs, Visitors, AND NPCs - use with caution), keeps relationship check ONLY

3) norelcheck - removes age, type, AND relationship checks i.e. the option to Grow Up/Say Goodbye Forever should show up on anyone that is a child or older. Restricted to child and up due to animations (i.e. anims don't exist for toddlers and babies since this is a social interaction - this may be addressed in the future).

Thank you I installed the mods along with just the no relationship file. If worst comes to worst I could always age up them up but that process would take forever depending on how many sims you have in a neighborhood so I was wondering if there's a better way.

Except that the FreeTime aging system is flawed. When aging kids to teens, it doesn't give you the option to pick their aspiration. Speaking for myself, I always do it manually with the Sim Blender.

I actually prefer it that way. I don't always wanna pick the asp/ dis/likes for townies. I'd much rather let the game do it and then if I want to I can change it when I'm ready.

The game doesn't pick their aspiration with the FreeTime system; they retain the Grow Up aspiration without the player's intervention. Thus why it's flawed.

The game does not make that many townie children unless you yourself made a heap? Also when using the FT method be aware you may find those sims with no aspirations if you try and make them playable at some future date.

I use Ancient Highways NPC aging but this only ages any NPC by one day when they are on your lot at 6pm. If you have a home business like a spa you will get plenty of ageing happening though since townies like those things.

I have not played in many months now but does not the bat box fix the missing aspirations?

I don't mind aging them up one by one because I used SimPE to track down all the children in the neighborhood and wrote down all of their names in Notepad++ so I won't forget their names whenever my children decides to befriend them like a premade child sim named Marsha Bruenig who is best friends with Michael Turner son of Nery Turner and Marie Rauscher befriended Chloe Gonzaga so it wouldn't make since for only one lot of sims gets to grow up while the whole town stays the stay age forever unless they move in with or you befriended them. I also kept most of the children in one lot so it be easier for me to track them down and age them up whenever my sims finally grows up.
