My party-thrower sims frequently roll "influence sim to socialise" type wants during parties - talk, entertain, play with & appreciate being the main socials they want to influence others into. They almost never roll this kind of want at other times, so I assume it's part of the party code, possibly programmed to show up after a sim fulfills a "throw party" want? I don't *think* it's something I modded in; can anyone else confirm whether this is vanilla EAxis behaviour?

I've only rarely seen the influence sim to socialize wants outside of party scenarios.

Some people have said that their Sim has found out about a cheating spouse through gossip. If it happens, it's rare, and it shouldn't be.

I'd like my Sim to be able to catch someone cheating and then go tell others about it and have them react to it.

Trash bins in counters. Basically, trash compactors but not electrical (without requiring repairing). If possible, mini fridge or counter animation used instead.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

I would really like it if one of the options you could choose for employees in Sim-owned businesses would just be to walk a particular route- not really accomplishing anything, but just as a way of being able to fine-tune the feel of a place in terms of the people in it... it could add ambiance and flavor to so many different venues.

ETA: And it would be great if customers could "watch" employees assigned to this task for a Fun motive boost... Great for everything from franchise mascots to runway models- any kind of work that's essentially "putting on a show."

The date flowers can cause the recipients husband/wife to catch them cheating and break up. The flowers would need to be autonomous, as I had to instruct a husband read the card in order to figure out what was going on. He stood there as the 'date' placed the flowers but hubby had no reaction. Once he was instructed to check them out, he argued and broke up with his wife. Not sure if they were supposed be autonomous or not, but it sure did work to get her out. (:

Since the date flowers don't have timestamps on them, they really shouldn't trigger jealousy, since a sim could view their spouse's date flowers from back in high school and be like "OMG, you're cheating on me!!" Since I've got romancemod, I'll never see that reaction to date flowers, as it's one of the many features of the mod:

4. Flower rage is stomped. Sims no longer spaz out when looking at datereward, since these have no timestamp and could pertain to a preexisting relationship or one that no longer exists.

i know that there's a hack when you can choose if you want 1,2,3 or even 4 baby's

but is there a hack when you can choose if you wanna have girls or boys in the family while the sim is pregnant or even in labor?
i wanna see that hack one day

i know it might not mix well if you have the triplets and quads hack but just like this hack you might can choose if you wanna have 1,2,3 or even 4 girls or boys

It's of course a bit trickier if you want to choose the gender of quads, but there's a trick to have a certain gender.
Right before the baby is born, when the sim goes in labour, save the game. Let the baby(babies) be born and if it's not the gender you want, exit without saving and load the lot again till the right gender is born.

As far as I know, this is the only way to "choose" a sim baby's gender, and it's entirely possible to get the same gender over and over, despite reloading multiple times. So it's not perfect, but if the gender of the baby is important to you, it is an option.

It can also help if you go into CAS and select the gender you don't want the baby to be. Then hit the randomize button a few times. I've had to do this numerous times for various breeding projects.

Gender is decided at birth, which is why you can't pick beforehand.

*slams hands on table* Is THAT why I get so many boys? Whenever I roll the pacifier I always use a female Sim!

about gender of babies, self-pregnancies I take to be the main way to guarantee it. the only other way is to "unlink" the father; like how Brandi Broke's pregnancy starts out. in either case, the gender would be the opposite of the pregnant sim.
I take nothing else we could do could influence the gender.

Does this actually work??

Gender is randomized at birth, so I'd say no. It may be occurring coincidentally, but there is nothing in the game's coding that has anything to do with gender prior to the game creating that baby at the moment of birth. Evidence to the contrary is coincidental. The game does not read pregnancy this way. I've also heard it told that the game biases gender based on the gender of existing sims. Example: if you have 60 female sims in your game and 40 male sims, the game would have a 60% chance of creating a male... biasing selection towards neutrality. Alas, this is also untrue, to the best of my knowledge on the subject of when and how the game selects gender. It all happens at the moment of birth, and there's no coding to influence or change, in order to effect it.

Something to make the necessary mod objects (like the batbox and simblender, and even Cyjon's pizza box) spawnable even on residential lots. I hate having to buy them and it drives me nuts when the sims HAVE to go and look at them and groan.

@JDacapo, install nowhatsthis from MATY and you'll never have to see another sim look at any newly-bought object.

What I'd like to see is more severe toilet clogs. The worst sims seem to get when a toilet clogs is a tiny puddle around the base of the toilet. I want at least a chance of the "real" clogged toilet like we see irl - flooding the whole room and out the door onto the carpet, tanking the hygiene of any sim in the room especially the one trying to unclog the toilet, more overflow during the plunging process, etc.

I've never seen a toilet do that-and nor do I want to! Then again I just learnt a few ago that American toilets are full of water! So now the overflowing toilet thing makes more sense.

I don't want to see that, either!

What do you mean 'full of water'? What are yours full of? You can't just take a dump on the porcelain and wait for it to slide on a humid day...

Goodness!! That is certainly NOT a Hack or CC that I'd like to see!!

I was wondering that too, so I made the mistake of Googling "Australian toilets" just now - it seems they are in fact full of snakes

Well, we down under just have a small area of water down near the bottom that just covers the bottom piece of porcelain. So we have water but apparently, it's a whole lot less water than US loos use. My guess is because we are a country continually in drought-but why would you even want all that water? I am now getting why US people (other mothers) complain about their son's 'splashing up'
Isn't this a delightful conversation?

How about a mod that makes the plumber turn off the house's water supply and unscrews the pipes.

PS. Our loo's can have a frogs and if it's an outside dunny, watch out for the spiders!

Edit: >cough< https://www.reddit.com/r/australia/...s_are_superior/

And now I know why EA made toilets clog so easy in game-because that's how it is in the US!

All my (American) toilets have done when they get clogged is refuse to flush. No flooding the house with disgustingness or anything so dramatic, as long as you don't keep trying to flush it repeatedly nothing terrible happens. Then I just call maintenance and they fix it for me.

All modern Canadian toilets are just like these Australian toilets Jo describes. But the old ones are apparently "American" style.

Must be nice to live somewhere you can call maintenance to fix a clogged toilet, tho! We have to wait up to six months (and never less than a few days to a week) to get them to fix anything at all, so there's no way we're calling them for a clogged toilet.

One time the apartment above us had a toilet overflow that poured down through our light fixture into our hallway.

Some of the comments on that link are priceless. XD

We have similar toilets to Australia. Never knew that any others were different.
