Default Sims 2 graphics problem
I started playing the Sims 2 again and after I play it for a while, my graphics card shuts off. The problem does not happen when I play the sims 3 or sims 4. I have a gaming PC with 12gb of ram, a terabyte of hard drive space, a quad-core processor, and AMD Radeon R7 240. I do have mods and CC but they were the same on my old laptop, which ran the game fine but was laggy.

You need to post this in the Help section, not general discussion.

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.

OP you get much more help with help questions if you post to the help board. Also welcome to MTS.

You need to check that you don't have a chip because sims 2 will tend to use it and you have to force it to use the card.
It may also not like your quad-core processor since it is an old game made long before quad core. There may be ways around that though. There are ways around playing quad core games on dual core since I do that myself with Dragon Age Inquisition. (quad core game- I used a download to make it play on my duel core)
