As nasty as Donald Trump may appear to be, he is certainly not the first US president to be accused of sexual misconduct so why this gets more attention than what changes he is going to implement (that will directly impact peoples lives) is strange to me.

The biggest problem with Trump isn't the charges for sexual misconduct, or his collection of generally stupid ideas. It's Trump's persona. He seems to have no filters for anything. He's the "I can say what I want, do what I want, and I don't care about other people's feelings as long as my needs are satisfied" kind of guy, who blatantly says things any normal person wouldn't. He said directly to Hillary's face in one of the main debates that if he became the president, he would have her arrested (and if I remember correctly, he said something about throwing away the key). He also said "nasty woman" to her in another debate. And she just looks at him and it seems like she's thinking "is this person real?" - nobody with an even halfway working conscience would behave the way Trump did. This isn't even the worst he's said or done. He has no filters what so ever, and I for one don't think a person like him fits in the role as president.

About 99% of his responses to people (not just to or about women, mind), and particularly people or groups of people he does not like, lack any kind of respect. He might say he respects the people he's talking to - but two minutes later, he says something to contradict what he just said. He does not seem to understand what the word respect means, and that can turn out to be a flippin' huge danger sign. Don't like 'em? Build a wall! Don't want them in your country? Throw them out! Don't like what they're saying? Insult them right in front of their face, preferably also in front of a camera (whether or not they're there to defend themselves) so the whole world can see your lack of respect for this person or group of people. True, he's not the only person who does this - but he does it so blatantly it's scary. You don't even need to agree the least bit with someone to be respectful. Just be civilized, and don't go all caveman. It's really not that hard. Talking down someone's arguments is fine if you have different opinions than them, and that's what a debate is all about. Each side presents their arguments for and against, and you leave it to the people to decide who they agree with. But talking down the person is a whole other thing. Saying "that's your argument - fine, but here's my argument, and why it's better than yours" is perfectly fine in a debate. Naming your opponent respectless names (like "Nasty woman") is not fine. It's childish, sometimes outright cruel, and should be beneath someone who is supposed to become the next president. If a debater resorts to childish bantering and crude remarks, they've already lost the argument. They're just too proud (or perhaps even too stupid) to admit it.

What he thinks in his head, or says off camera in his spare time is up to him, but if he's going to have this job he needs to learn to moderate himself, because right now it's like putting a 4-year old who's just learned a lot of swear words (that they don't actually understand) in the chair of a big company, give him a lot of fireworks and a box of matches, and just trust things will turn out alright in the end.

Simmer22, you hit the nail on the head! I fear his disrespect of women may just be one of his 'less scary' qualities.....and that is a worry.

The American state of New York blacklists (foreign) private companies if they leave/ignore/boycot commercial activities in the Asian state of Israel, because of the country's policies. Like that's any of their business. Besides, isn't it against the thought of a free market and capitalism that the authorities decide about this?

I can't believe that I haven't been in this thread yet to bitch and moan about El Trumpo. Trumplestiltskin. Ronald McDonaldTrump. That son of a bitch....either way, seeing the democrats make his life difficult like the GOP has made Obama's for the last 8 years is going to be fun.
And if anything questionable happens in terms of protests, sabotage, assassinations attempts, whatever....I'll do all the looking the other way I possibly can.

But hey, at least we all have 2020 to look forward to. I have a little picture of the '20 electoral map here.

Current President of Vice, "Diamond Joe" Biden on the Democrat ticket, Kanye as VP. Biden-West '20, calling it now.

Isn't it funny that all the liberals who condemned Trump for saying he might not accept the results turned and refused to accept the results as soon as it turned out that they weren't the winners? In fact, they were so in denial that they thought they could disrupt a 200-year-old process because they didn't get what they wanted!

I just love the hypocrisy of the left. Especially because most of the people complaining about the Electoral College wouldn't be complaining if it caused Hillary to win and Trump to lose. The exact opposite would happen. They'd all be like "Well she won fair and square, there's nothing we can do!"

Sorry, but I've been having a blast watching all the SJW meltdowns that have been happening for the past few months. The "tolerant and peaceful left" have really been showing their true colors.

Hillary had won if not for the Electoral votes. Trump basically won on a technicality. From what I could gather, Bush won the same way, and we all know how that went. So it's okay to be pissed off, because the voting system in the US as-is, is a stupid, extremely outdated, and completely illogical system that is currently rigged against the voters - because even if side A gets more popular votes, side B can still win, and the states don't even stand equal. In my opinion, the popular vote is the one that should count. US should really take their voting methods into the present, as there's absolutely no reason in today's modern world to have the electoral voting, flawed as it is.

As for Trump saying he wouldn't have accepted the result is childish and shows that he wasn't even fit to be a candidate. What the guy really needs is a reality check. He's been talking almost non-stop the past year or so, and I have yet to hear something intelligent come out of his mouth, let alone something halfway decent. He also talks and acts as if he thinks the universe revolves around him and his name. If I'd been living in the US, I'd be furious for his side's win, and rightly so. The US has a lot of influence internationally, and as the president Trump will have a lot of power - which in the wrong hands can potentially turn out catastrophically. Let's just hope someone in the White House can rein him in a bit. Then again, considering his choice of staff/co-workers, I don't think there's that much hope.

I mostly blame the american people for this. Maybe they should've voted from the heart and not according to the common narrativ that "if you don't vote for one of the two of the 6+ available candidates that you're wasting your vote". Trump... hillary... either way I know I lose.

From my perspectiv, the USA would be much better if it weren't a "superpower". I don't care for my people's lives being affected by these fickle, lying idiots that can't even make a lasting decision on anything. Oh, and the americans should stop invading counries and stealing other people's rescources. Stop ousting democratically elected leaders and installing pro-american dictators i ntheir places. Adhere to treaties. Look out for the people. You know, do things that marginally responsible countries do.

I have a big list of pains I could say about antagonist USA. My ancestors would too, I think most of my list is copied from their list. It is very ugly list. I doubt anything'll ever change. Just have to keep head down and pray for best, regardless of who's their president or whatever. Maybe people get lucky this time around, maybe the trump'll hurt them too and they'll wake up to it. I'm not waiting on that tho.

Yes but I think deep down inside we all know that this debate wouldn't be happening if Hillary won the electoral votes and Trump won the popular vote, seeing as all the people complaining about it were Hillary supporters.

Sorry, but I'm thanking God that Hillary didn't win. I don't even want to know what kind of country this would become with her in office.

Honestly, the regressive left/SJWs played a huge part in Trump getting elected. They'll all say it was "those damn racist white men," but the reason so many people got fed-up enough to vote for Trump is because they got sick of people on the left playing "the boy who cried racism" and obsessing over identity politics. It's almost like if you continuously insult and call a group of people racist bigots, they'll turn on you and stop voting for your party. Hillary's entire platform was "Vote for me because I'm not Trump," and that's it. She offered no change, and basically just promised you another 4 years of the same shit Obama brought. Whether you agree with his policies or not, Trump actually offered change. His message reached out beyond just elitists and spoke to the working and middle classes, the classes who were being hurt by Obama's policies the most.

A message to SJWs/anyone else on the left who loves to attack those with opposing views and is still shocked that they lost: Maybe if you want people to consider your perspective, you should stop throwing around buzz words and attacking anybody who doesn't share your opinion.

I've never said Hillary was a good option for a presidential candidate, just that she seemed marginally better than Trump (which isn't saying much). Honestly, I don't even understand how the US managed to choose those two out of so many possible candidates. But then again, the whole selection process is flawed in so many ways it's ridicolous, and the US does have a knack of choosing strange presidential candidates.

Trump may say he offers change, but the question is whether or not he's even able to keep to any of what he's said so far. He changes opinion several times a debate (maybe that's the change he offers?), and doesn't even remember what he stands for, let alone what he's for and against. He also has absolutely no experience in politics, not even on a basic level - and how that'll turn out is anyone's guess. I honestly don't know how he'll be as a president, but I don't have high hopes. I've seen more than enough of Trump the person to get a general overview of the person, and so far it's not looking good.

I dislike the far right much more than the far left, but I reeaally regret the sjws. When they tell people what to do and what not to do it reminds me of 1920's alcohol prohibition and how people REALLY don't like being told they can't do something. Then sjw for idk which side introduces triggers and safe spaces and a new way to devolve is available for anyone on any side, but mostly against sjws. Oh these people don't Happy Holidays, they need their safe zone. Oh these people can't handle the news and got triggered. They just made the climate worse for everyone, including themselves.

See this guy: Example of escalated amurican behavior after sjw meddling

Oh the "triggered" thing... You know the irony? They didn't just make that up.. What they are referring to is PTSD triggers... As someone with PTSD, certain sounds sights or words can trigger me to have an attack... The fact they highjacked that and used it to silence conversation and feed their petty interests, pisses me off enough to want to slap them right across their smug, well to do, faces... Thanks to these idiots, I can't explain that church bells trigger me without some idiot mocking me... Thanks sjw's... You certainly helped protect people like me, with your petty self serving political maneuvers...

That said, screw Trump. Someone so illiterate has no place in politics, nevermind as head of the executive branch, and screw the republican party for rejecting science, even though they literally use the results of it every damned day! Let's see some southern or midwestern fundamentalist sociopaths make a communications device as complex as even an old operator based landline without using modern physics!

Love to see that happen!

Well, I do believe that as messed up as things will be for the next few years, we're still watching the fall of the Republican party. When they don't deliver on their promises, the backlash will be even worse than what Democrats are suffering now.

I am confused by your statement. How did sjw's hijack the term "triggered"?

No. SJWs changed the term "trigger" from its original meaning (a warning for victims of rape or trauma or sufferers of PSTD that something which might induce a panic attack could occur) to anything that makes them sad or uncomfortable. This cheapens the meaning for people who could actually use trigger warnings. This is much like how SJWs have cheapened the term "racist" or modern feminists have cheapened the term "sexist" to mean whatever they want it to at a given time, in order to push their victim narrative, at the expense of people actually suffering from racism or sexist, respectively.

Likewise, the term "rape" has been altered to include things which have been traditionally considered sexual harassment, which demeans actual rape victims and hurts their chances of finding help.

MRA's (but mostly non-MRAs, non-feminists, and non-SJWs) have simply noted the misuse and started to use the term ironically to mock SJWs, because you can't tell me it's not funny to see grown adults crying bloody murder over political discourse.

Incredibly true. "America is already great", her answer to "Make American great again", is a slap in the face to the disenfranchised, to the millions of Americans living in poverty, in dying towns whose industries and livelihoods have faded away into nothing. Trump won because Hillary offered no change, offered really nothing - no, actually she never really tried in the first place - to those people, so they rolled the dice and voted for Trump. (And when I see a bunch of wealthy blogger Liberals getting all smug and typing on their Macs "I told you so!!!" on Twitter over coal miners losing health care, I don't blame them.)

Though I guess if Saudi Arabia offered me a sweet $20,000,000 bribe, I'd be proclaiming things were great, too!

Trump is revolting, and though not American I lean towards being more of a socialist democrat and a big Bernie supporter.

Ah yes, we block the entrance of people from 7 random Islamic countries, of nobody ever have attacked the USA. Most terrorists in the US are either from Saudi Arabia or what we nowadays call Americans. Ironic to see them block the entrance of people attacked by the imperialistic US. Even without a proper and real reason, but only with alternative facts, a term known as lies in the rest of world. We illegally invade yours, but you can't come to us.

Ironic how the American government stance on immigration, while that whole country is built by illegal immigrants, with 99% of their population either being immigrants themselves or their ancestors of the last few centuries were.
