I cleaned up my game yesterday, was hardly lagging anymore
But when I cleaned up my sim's inventories, I just couldn't get rid of the pictures...

Trust me, they have a boat load of other pictures in their other houses, I just can't get myself to remove/sell them :I

If anybody here knows how to do script mods, and you want to help me with a special mod I'll be doing for Sims 3 (hopefully), please PM me, and I'll give you details and how you will be credited. Take your time if you do plan on helping me. Thank you.

I can't tell who is the bigger fan of who. Like the small house, playing in the garage is still 'the place' to be.

Whatever, Don Lothario.

Despite the bug I mentioned elsewhere, Thursday, the day after Spooky Day, was pretty calm. Peter was promoted and finally got that patrol car he dreamed of. He named it Polda, which is Czech short of Leopold, as well as Czech equivalent to the term cop. Very original name Peter. Way to go
Later that day, when Denis was sleeping after writing his new bestseller, Peter decided to adopt a boy. The Social Worker brought a cute fairy boy, whom Peter named Danny.
Other than that, the day was quite uneventful. Now on to the first winter day.

P.S.: How do I get rid of the basket in which Danny was brought in? It's annoying interference in my dining room right now.

I got a mummy in my game for the first time ever! So far in this game file I've gotten Pangu's Axe for the first time, made a Simbot for the first time, and gotten a mummy. SimBots were very disappointing to me. So much so that I tried to kill it with my gun mod but apparently you can't shoot and kill a SimBot. Had to cheat and kill her by old age. But I love the Mummy, I think it's so cute how they go around putting the fires in the fireplaces out. He likes to chat with Bonehilda and helps Alexander out with his homework. I also got Showtime last night and completed my collection of the EPs. Literally the only want Alex rolls anymore is to be a magician. Like, that boy is determined to be a magician. He just aged up to teen so I've gotta finish Mortimer and Bella's lifetime wishes before Cassandra ages up and I start playing the next gen.

I think you can enter a cheat "TestingCheatsEnabled True" and shift click and delete it. Or another cheat "Moveobjects on" and delete it through buy mode.

The torch has been passed to Emilia, an evil cook. She had a promiscuous time in uni and married someone with commitment issues, go figure.
They now have a son, and in total, four out of eight sims in the household are evil. And thus, the family fortune has gone down the drain, as they are always asking to donate to wicked causes. It's refreshing to have a family that isn't filthy rich, even if they have to make do with sleeping bags in an otherwise empty house for now.
On a side note, how long DO simbots live? Morgana is at 140 days and about to max yet another career. :D

Moveobjects only allowed me to move the basket around my lot, not to delete it. However, when I did some googling, I've found this thread on the official forum and what Igazor wrote in it about MasterController's Object Stats actually helped me. Another prove you can't play The Sims 3 without NRaas mods :D

Yes, but you can also "sell" them, I think. Though I know some objects aren't sellable. And one other method that might have also worked was to ctrl + shift click on the object and delete it through the pie menu in buy mode. And I definitely can't play my game without NRaas mods

Unfortunately, neither of those methods worked for me for that basket. That basket is not buyable and also is not sellable either. As mentioned in that thread, the basket is supposed to disappear automatically once the new parent will take the baby out of it. But for some reason, that did not happen for me in that game. And to be honest, it was the first time that happened for me. I did a lot of adoptions in past and never experienced this. But it's solved now, so all's good. And hopefully, it will help someone else in future with the same problem.

Once the plants of a particular crop are barren, they replant, then sell all the remaining produce at the grocery store.

They also have chickens, cows, and bees as a side business. Right now the Brownes are investors in the grocery store; eventually they'll become full owners. I'm also slowly working on updating their modest farmhouse to become nicer (and support a large family; farms really do need a lot of people to work the land.)

Family dynamics are interesting because the eldest son has a wife and kids, but his parents aren't elders yet and are also still having kids. So some of the younger children also have nieces and nephews the same age as them living on the farm.

I love your farm. You set that up so cute.

Since Cassandra is an adult with her own child now (Dante Morganthe is the baby-daddy. He's probably got the best genes EA premades have to offer), I bought a second house for Bella and Mortimer to live in. I could just move them out entirely but I get too attached and still want to be able to play as them and see what they're up to; just get them out of the way while I play the heirs. They're just a couple doors down so they can visit the family anytime. I felt bad because Bella had been wanting to go to France for a long time and had never been despite her travels with Mortimer through Egypt and China. So I sent them on one last vacation together. They've been living it up; no tombs, just sight-seeing and spending precious time together. c:

Update from my family. Peter got the Friday off work, so he could take care of Danny. That means four days off work since Monday is Snowflake day. Danny didn't need that much care, however. Once in a time, he needed to be played with and feed and very occasionally he needed diaper change or bath in bathing station. Other than that, he was mostly sleeping in the baby swing. Denis finished his lifetime wish Professional Author, after making his fifth bestseller (and I think that's a record for me, finishing LTW after only 6 days). That allowed him to buy No Bills Ever lifetime reward, so bills will no longer be an issue for them. Now they can spend their hard earned money on more useful things. Don't you wish such a thing existed in real life?
That day both Max and Ruby got on Honor Roll, which made both of their fathers proud. The big question is, however, will they keep on the roll or will they start slacking now?
After dinner, the boys decided to go fishing, before the garden pond will freeze again. Peter decided to make some potions and Denis took a drink and went to chill in the hot tub. Why he went to the one on garden in 0°C (32°F), when they have another one inside is beyond me, but whatever. Once the boys had enough fishing, they joined Denis in the hot tub. And yes, I am using mod for that, more accurately this one. I love that mod as it gives my Sim kids a lot more to do and since I play on a long lifespan, that is pretty much a necessity for me, or I would be bored pretty quickly with them.
After that it was time to go sleeping. Don't they look cute in that dream pod?

Sorry for the lack of screenshots this time. I was so engrossed to the gameplay that I forgot to take pictures. Still I have a few.
And note, I have the seasons set to five days and thanks to NRaas Tempest I have holidays set to the day before the last day of season. That usually works best for my gameplay.

I’m editing Boroughsburg to have some residential zones. You have to be quite wily while attempting this as the hood is designed more as eye-candy but it can be done. It’s such a unique city, I love it.

Another island edit. Not quite doing a midnight sun but definitely want my sims to be self sufficient. I found I really like the bohemian style.

I think the original objective in Boroughsburg is that the player gradually turns the "deco" residential lots (that are now covered with deco buildings) into actual residential lots, either by building on site, or by downloading lots that fit the theme (and the small lot sizes). I even remember that jje1000 mentions somewhere that it's you who decide the direction of the development: you can keep the slum-like industrial decay theme, or you can gradually "gentrify" or "hipster-ize" the district.

It's not easy though to find downloadable houses for Boroughsburg, especially if one wants to keep the slum-like aesthetics. I can recommend this one though:
http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=424420
I placed this on the lot where the default graveyard was and it smooths very well into the environment.
And, apologizing for this self-ad, but I also use my own "Downtown apartments" (uploaded) in Boroughsburg on some lots that are big enough for a 30 x 20 size, and they look quite acceptable (after some street furniture adjustment).

Today, I am going to share something that just wasn't fair. But let's start from the beginning. Saturday is Danny's birthday. Denis decided to throw a birthday party for him and invited a few kids from around the neighbourhood and Frida Goth, who befriended Peter.
In the morning, the boys used the new snow and built an igloo, because... well... why not. Though admittedly, the igloo right next to those surfboards looks weird.
After that Ruby went to visit the Hoppcrafts, more accurately Alfred Hoppcraft. Being fairy himself, Ruby is quite worried about fairy Alfred living in a family of supernatural sceptics. But for now, Alfred, who just aged up to child recently, is doing quite well, though his relationship with his parents is a little strained. The boys went out and built a snowman. Once done, Ruby invited Alfred over to his house, which Alfred gladly accepted.
In the meantime, Max invited Zack over and while waiting for him, he also invited over the new paper delivery boy, who got some weird name that I couldn't even remember Together the group started a snowball fight.
At the same time, Peter went on to clean the last memories to the fall, their Jack-O-Lanterns, which withered by now.
But the time for Danny's birthday party slowly approached and as they say, when something could go wrong in the right moment, it will. This time it was the toilet in the ground floor, which Peter had to fix to save the party.
The party was quite a mess, even worse then the Spooky Day party. Pappy Wolf and Patty Younan came in uninvited, but they were invited in anyway.
After some time for socialising came the time for baby Danny to become toddler Danny. Once done, Danny was sat to the high chair and got some of the leftover sushi, while the others cleared the birthday cake. Literally, since when Denis finally got to eat, he had to take another plate of the leftover sushi
And once again, when something could go wrong, it will. This time the dishwasher broke up when Gator Wolf cleaned his plate. Fortunately, I have second dishwasher in kitchen, so that was not a problem. However, the puddle it left had to be cleaned up, which Max eventually did. That left Denis to clear the mess Danny left on the high chair.
Later that evening, Peter finally went to fix the dishwasher. That didn't go well and the dishwasher started to fire. That caused the fire alarm blaring. Peter was quick and put the fire out before it could cause any real damage. Good job, Peter. But the firefighter who came late, didn't think so. After inspecting the house, he babbled something about falsely calling the services and fined me §500. WTF! Peter and some of the remaining guests could die and the house could burn to ashes! Is that what that idiotic firefighter wanted me to do? I'ts just not fair! I swore I will not cheat money in this game, but when the game is not fair to me, I am not going to be fair either and will cheat those §500 back. That much I am pissed right now!

And sorry guys, I thought I have pics of the fire, but I don't. Instead, weirdly, I have a lot of pics of Danny being potty trained by Denis. Don't worry, I am not going to publish those, I am sure no one wants to see them.

I have I shall refrain from making wholesale changes after that until I really need to.
TJStreak has some NY tenement deco buildings that are actually more suitable than the ones shipped with the hood, in case you haven't seen those.
And your lot could be quite useful too! Thanks

Editing the bejeepers out of Twinbrook; I dunno why the Sims 3 does this, but none of the worlds I can find anywhere look anything like real towns in my area - you know, the ones with the old brick buildings all mushed together and what not.

Using Floraflora2's stuff like mad in this game. Heh. (thank you for all of your hard work, I love your retro buildings!!!)

I'm right at where I can start the third chapter of my Dead Ringers series; just a few more tweaks to go; then I need to storyboard the next chapter, which means I have to load up the Mont St. Michel 1940s era world (I adjusted it a bit..) and take pics for THAT chapter... and then rewrite the OTHER chapters to match these "new" ones.

To think, this whole nearly 20 chapter story started with a game bork... pffft. It's nuts.

Do you guys ever have this thing where you've made all sorts of shit and you're ready to start telling stories, but then you find a Tumblr full of amazing CC and suddenly you want to redo everything? Or at least seriously improve it? And what's more, you're conflicted on whether to share the link with everyone or selfishly keep it for your own selfish self?

Look out for BRIDGEPORT'88 - it's the hottest new show on YT this season!

Gods yes! I don't make CC yet for 3, but I still find myself up at 4 am on a school night ( so his bus comes at 8:44 am... but still... ) surfing thru CC sites, WCIF threads, dodgy CC sites in odd languages I don't speak....

And then I gotta reboot CCMagic to put it all into categories and and... shit still ain't done in my game.

When I'm done playing the farm life side of the sims I like to go urban. I've wanted a small "city" for a while that leaned more toward the grungy side. I still have a little cleaning to do but here's my Eastport edit, complete with affordable housing..

Wow, that's the smallest world I've ever seen. And yet you've totally made it work! Crazy to think that if that's a whole world with enough in it to keep you entertained for days, the ones we're all playing in are actually a massive waste of time and space.
I don't want to spoil it too much because I plan to make a project out of this but......imagine a world set in a single, enclosed, isolated space. Something that can provide for several dozen Sims on a footprint no larger than, say, 200 by 50 meters. And now imagine they're all spending a long period of time together. Either way, outside no one can hear you scream and their group anthem is quite possibly We Built This City by.........I'm sure you get the idea.

Yes, thanks! The world is here >http://www.simlogical.com/ContentUp...e/uploads/1260/ < if your are interested but yeah my whole gimmick with the sims is what can I do with the least amount of space possible. Anyway there are a lot of sacrifices such as big families, a hospital, and a science center (could be fixed with rabbithole rugs) but there's still a lot of potential. I've been trying to make this world a broke down haven after some apocalypse or something but settled with this city for now.

Had CAW been possible to use for me, I think I'd have made a few of these tiny worlds already. They make for great places to play in, as well as great places to record footage in. I could quite easily build 2 or 3 lots against a faux cityscape backdrop and use it as a massive film set of sorts. Your screenshots make it evident that even a tiny world can look like a full-fledged town.
