I'm trying out espresso brownies with that Nestle espresso in the tins. Rather, plastic, but who cares.

Made the chicken curry recepie off bbc's good food site. Totally misread the instructions, but it turned out ok. Leftovers indicate that I got the chicken to rice ratio wrong, so I might add more rice tomorrow. I still don't like cooking even if I can sort of do it

Salmon baked with olive oil, and then topped with a mix of tomatoes, olives, onions, and feta cheese that's soaked in wine and lemon juice for the last 24 hours or so... and then instant pasta and toast to go with it, because my creativity was all yesterday, and I forgot to come up with a creative side to go with it. :P

Veggie pizza. I decided to cut the cheese in half (yes, I am aware of the possible fart joke). I had to reduce the amount of cheese because I'm now trying to diet sensibly by making vegetable dishes either based on veggies like stirfries or feature veggies like my pizzas and fried rice.

Onion and bell pepper stir fry.

Tomorrow is grocery shopping. I first need to get blood drawn and revived with a snack. The last time I had blood drawn, they took 4 small vials and 4 large vials. Honestly, they should at least set up a vending machine near the door, quicken the recovery by a few minutes rather than 15 or more.

But either way, I had quite a lot of plant matter.

Farfalle, mushrooms with leek and cream. I put too much salt in cos I forget that my left wrist still hasn't got full mobility back yet, so I tend to accidentally miscalculate. Oh well, I tried.

Chicken-pot-pie with peas, carrots, onions, corn, and cream of mushroom soup... except I made too much filling, and it won't all fit in the pie crust! Not sure what I'll do with the extra yet...

Coffee with fresh whipped cream and sprinkled cinnamon on top. It's a simple little thing, but the extras make it quite special.

I have put some sourdough to ferment overnight, and in the morning I'll make pancakes of it.

Salmon cakes.

And nothing creative beyond that, because I'm completely lacking in inspiration when it comes to things to pair with seafood.

Tomorrow, I'm making my special morsel cookies.

The last time I had made them, I used a special premixed blend of milk, white and dark chocolate chips from Toll House. I chose 3 from Hershey\Reese's. Milk chocolate, white chocolate infused with vanilla and peanut butter.

I've been working on making variants and maybe making some gold, purple and green M&M ones for next year's Mardi Gras. My eldest uncle in my father's family (his eldest brother) is a baker and I would gladly relocate to his area to gain experience. Problem is, it's a couple hours of commuting.

Still, my cookies are some of the greatest. Where it calls for brown sugar, I used half light brown sugar and half dark brown sugar. It cuts the smoky property just enough to be unique.

Swedish pancakes... crepes with strawberries, honey, cottage cheese, sour cream, syrup, and whipped cream. One of those things that's incredibly delicious and probably takes at least a few months off of your life with each bite!

The tried and true Spaghetti Bolognese with garlic and onions. Usually we like some fresh chilli's thrown in but I forgot to buy some.

Leftover Swedish pancakes work well as non-sweet-filled crepes too, so I'm sauteing chicken, onions, and mushrooms, and making a blue cheese sauce to go with... Pretty much pure experimentation, we'll see how it goes!

ETA: Disappointing...

Crepes with cheese, onion, mushrooms, and courgette. More crepes but with whipped cream and not entirely defrosted strawberries because I have no patience. Even more crepes with whipped cream and bits of dried apricot and mango. The last few were inspired by the crepes I'd had like 10 or so years ago at my neighbour's house: fill the warm crepe with cold cream cheese and apriocot jam, and drink hot pommegranite tea with it.

Cider, hopefully. The cider apple trees in my backyard were a little overzealous in their fruit production this year, so there have been lots of branches breaking off with lots of ripe, almost-ripe, and not-really-ripe-but-I'm-going-to-use-them-anyways apples on them that I've been gathering. I did a proof-of-concept nonalcoholic starter this afternoon that came out way better than I'd expected for a first attempt, so I juiced about a gallon more this evening, boiled it and added in more water and sugar, and I'm letting it settle overnight before I siphon it off. In 3 or 4 months once it's fermented, I guess I'll know how successful it was- might be ready just in time for yuletide festivities, come to think of it!

Baked Potatoes. I'm too simple...

I have the fixings but I usually cook potatoes one bag at a time and right now, we still have leftovers.
