This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3
Default Downloading using Vista
Is there a step by step explanation on how to download patterns/sims/houses etc. when you are using Vista...?
I have downloaded things and they are in mods/packages folder in package form, but they do not appear on the game.

Any help...?

It's just the same as in XP - are you using the correct Resource.cfg?

Also, it's been noted other places that you should not unzip the files directly in the destination folder (with vista). Download them somewhere else and unzip/rar and then copy paste them into the correct folder. Do it this way if you are NOT using the helper monkey.
