Default [FOUND] WCIF a Fake Birthday Cake
This is kind of vague, but is there a birthday cake that doesn't age up the sim? Like, is there one that has the animations of the regular birthday cake but nothing happens? It's not a default replacement, but more of a prop for stories. Has this been done before?

might be easy to make in SimPE; clone one then find and remove the parts that age the sim. for it to not replace, get a new GUID.

These ones, I think: http://www.modthesims.info/d/228835 and http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=191615
They allow for sims to celebrate (with all the animations) and gives you the option of growing up the sim or not. Fake celebration is for child and up.

One of them uses the same mesh as the original birthday cake, so you can recolor it to look like the original if you want.

Nope, I have no aging mods except the one that allows sims to age at university. Birthday cakes have been buggy and inconsistent since day one of installing the game.

perhaps that mod prevents other sims from aging.

edit:: other aging mods I take to be similar; enables aging for mod's group but disables aging for others.

As I said, the behavior of birthday cakes is unchanged since the day I installed the game and sims age just fine without them, which is how I usually do it.

maybe you installed the mod before using the cake to age.
