Even with this workaround, things aren't perfectly secured, and some links (mostly to things hosted on 4share) still don't work. Sometimes things can be fixed by removing the
https://web.archive.org/web or any other http address that comes first if there are multiple, so keep that in mind. When that doesn't work, you can try to google the wayback machine and manually type in the main url
http://cloudwalkersims.com, to search for older snapshots saved in the archive. This is how I was able to save the Royal Collection and the Game of Thrones sets, both of which are broken in the archive seed previously posted in this thread. If something doesn't work, just try going a bit farther back in time, to about 2013 or so, more or less depending on what you're looking for. To try to pinpoint when something was realized, try checking the dates shown for the other times directly before and after that do still work.
Even with all of this, there appears to be just a few things that are still permanently gone no matter what. I really hope that Cloudwalker can get her site back up, she's a really good creator. She's still alive it seems, because her tumblr has recent activity, but so far no word on getting our delicious content back as of yet. If anyone out there has her stuff stored somewhere, will you care to share some of it? We should make a list of things we /definitely/ can't save ourselves.
Currently the most important thing I can't download no matter what is the No-Tell-Motel community lot. There's a few scattered clothes here and there I wasn't able to get either, almost always because of 4shared. Because 4shared sucks. No one likes 4shared. Does anyone out there know how to get a hold of files that have been deleted from 4shared? Because as hard as I've tried I can't manage to find a way to access some links to there, not even when manually looking for saved snapshots of 4shared itself.
