The original mesh/hair is from the77sim and I think it was Ops-sim that converted it for females. There was a link for the female version in the Creator notes on Ms Blue's back tattoo but she removed it a month ago.
The dread version is cute so thank you for that one.

Thank you !!

i have another "frankentexturing" idea: also i am NO expert (just a noob) at all
you now have a mesh (with dreads retexture, right?)
and a texture on 77sims original hair. maybe you can swap the texture on the female mesh using graphic editing programms and s3pe?

as far as i see it you "only" need to extract the females IMGs for the dreadstexture
export the males textures from 77sims package
edit those in gimp/photoshop/paint.net (by swapping the males over the females dreads)
save it and reimport it into the females package.

better read / follow this please:
heres a tutorial by fanaskher http://fanaskher.tumblr.com/post/51...ir-for-ts3-part (she nows what shes doing, her retextures are awesome)

hmm the last two links arent working for me and the first only directs to a post that ops-sims IS GOING to work on this. but no download. so how did you get the hair when you said the links are working arwen? or other way around: what am i doing wrong

I might have taken out the joy a little early, because I can't get it to work, and I have now tried everything I can think of but the hair won't show up for me.
I found some other sites with the same files from OPS but non of them work.

for getting better help:
edit your posts name and remove the [FOUND]

EDIT: i looked at the file for the dreads with s3pe. it doesnt look to bad on first glance but i am a noob. i have to do some research now. maybe sth isnt correctly linked (CASP with... ??? )

did you try both: sims3pack + package ?
did you try if the male version works (maybe both rely on each others? if thats possible)

as far as i know now the dreads version is a gift from shmoopiesims to ctenid. shmoopiesims had some trouble concerning extractiiTionons (eSeL) http://shmoopiesims.tumblr.com/post...ll-sl-downloads
also i thought i read somewhere that the "shaved ponytail" is in fact an ext... (was it in the description of the male version i linked to first?) as far as its always the same mesh converted and retextured further thats maybe a possible reason why its so hard to find the hair (or even traces). good possible [ops-sim] and the TSR creator you got the pic from had to remove all links/traces to that hair exactly for the TOU reasons...

I added a link for dreads (T to Ya-A Male) from infisim in the #2post

maybe you can enable infisims dreads for females using nraas Master Controller
MASTER CONTROLLER MAIN MOD http://nraas.wikispaces.com/MasterController
see the Interactions on this page http://nraas.wikispaces.com/MasterC...er+Interactions

in game this Feature is found in CAS by left clicking the button at the bottom to the very left
CAS =>
Category Changes =>
Unlock Hair for all Genders
- When enabled, all hairstyles are unlocked for all genders
- Default: False

I tried both the sim3pack and .package file, and neither shows up.
the only one of them that do show up is the dreads version, but not the one I were originally looking for :/ The dread version do come up both for male and female sims.
I've tried taking out the dread version in case they would conflict each other but the original hair stil don't show up :S

huch i missed sth here. were did you get the "original" version from? or are you talking about the male version (the no dreads one) from the77sim? maybe the77sims version needed the female mesh as a base???

is an editing of the hairs texture a possibility for you?
i mean if no one shares the female version here and its unobtainable as "regular" download than one maybe needs to be flexible.
as long as you have a working mesh (the dreads mesh):
it could be cloned (so that it wont conflict with the dreads and you can have both in-game)
you could extract the IMGs of the hairs texture
and swap the textures from the77sims on it. => its completely unimportant if the hair workes or not as long as you have the textures ;-)

i know that this would mean a lot of work. and getting you programs - even some trial and errors in the process. its absolutely ok if you see this as a last chance
fanaskher is one of the most giftet hair-retexturers so heres a 3 parts splitted tutorial from her if you want to take a look at it : http://fanaskher.tumblr.com/tagged/...ture%20Tutorial

Oh yea talking about the no dreads version from the77sim.

that is more or less impossible for me, due to lack of time and my pc is very iffy when it comes to all the sims3 editing programs. it barely runs S3PE and S3OC
The dread version looks a bit different in the mesh as well tho, I think anyway, its quite big. and its missing the strand of hair going down in the front.
