Default Scams
I don't know whether this has even been done before. But it's time for an update if it has. I decided to post my recent experience so that if it happens to you guys, you will know what to do.

One day last week, I used my iphone to buy something from itunes. A few hours later I got this popup from itunes, similar to the one you get if you have a weather app or are subscribed to a podcast. It asked me to confirm some food package purchase I hadn't made. I hit cancel and quickly changed all my passwords on the phone and at my bank. All is well.

The next day I called itunes about another issue and discussed what happened. She said that's a scam going around. I was lucky that it didn't work because whether you cancel confirm or cancel, it is supposed to open up some site where they will steal all your info. The right thing to do is TURN OFF YOUR PHONE. You can count to ten and turn it back on if you want, but break that connection.

I hope this helps someone. If you have encountered a scam or a spoof, please share it.

Thank you.

It wasn't apple. My info would have been stolen by a site I was being redirected to.

There are fake versions of Amazon, facebook, youtube and other dites also flying around. They'll have the same layout as those sites so you can't really tell the difference unless you check the URL which will be slightly different.
